Enjoyed that, riding a bike with no fancy gadgets and gizmo’s is pure joy, that the need for speed brigade will never understand. Couple that with roads like those, and it’s sheer bliss.

Hello, Dave. Another real treat. Your videos never fall to delight me. Right from the start we had the delightful 'finger post' and then the industrial heritage. And that wonderful landscape. Quite magnificent. A ride to be enjoyed over and over. If I could only watch one KZitem video it would be yours and this one in particular. Love the variety of modes you have on the Classic 😉 Thank you. Peter

Wonderful ride through beautiful country, Dave. Thank you again. I enjoyed the bit about the lead mine pits. Near my town of Madison Wisconsin is fair amount of historic lead mining. I'm near Tower Hill, which is near architect Frank Lloyd Wright's home, Taliesin. This stone tower was built over a deep well, which was attached to a horizontal tunnel connected to a Wisconsin River tributary. Molten galena lead was dropped from the top through the tower and through the well. Perfectly straight down. As the molten lead fell, it cooled into round pellets for shot. At the bottom, it landed in a pool of river water where cooled further and was shoveled into canoes for market. I'll try take my Royal Enfield 350 Classic over there this spring and post you a video. Thanks.

Hi, just watched this. This is on my doorstep, almost, living near Malton. That is a lovely loop, and some nice walking there too. If you'd gone straight on where you debated which way to go, it is a dead end with an old historic church. You can make yourself a brew there as they leave tea and hot water. When did you do this ride, we were walking there on Saturday, over the tops to Farndale.

Hi, I have to be honest, since getting the RE Classic 350 last July I haven't been on the BM at all. I don't find it too bad, but I wouldn't take it where I will go on the RE. The lakes tour is a case in point, I went up the Hardknott Pass on the 350 but would have been a bit more reluctant on the BM. Just in case I had to get a foot down on the off camber bits, would the weight be a bit much? I don't miss the speed really either. Trouble is I don't like selling a bike lol, thats why I have 6 of the things. Ride safe, Dave

New subscriber here! Loving watching your rides. I'm trying to decide which to pull the trigger on, the 350 classic or an interceptor. I can't for the life of me decide. I've tried both and love them both for different reasons. Something about the single thump is almost therapeutic though and I fancy being able to do what you do yourself, aim for the smaller roads and set of with a tent. Then if I do settle on the 350... it's which colour to go for!! It's between the black or the chrome for me.

Hi, thanks for subscribing. I had the same issue, decided to go with the classic as it felt more retro and suited the back roads and just bimbling about. I was going to get the chrome and red, but fell for the Halsion Black. I don't regret one bit of getting it. Let me know which you go for, ride safe, Dave

@That bloke on a motorbike that's the same thing that's pulling me towards the 350. It just felt like a pleasant, friendly ride to me that made me smile. And I've wanted a bullet ever since watching Nick Sanders ride one round the world on TV in the 90's. Hard to explain the attraction to people who don't get it isn't it. It's not about bhp is it. It's the feel. I'll be sure to update when I pull the trigger. Hopefully after my next pay day 😅. Keep up the great videos 👍👍
