i bought mine just 2 weeks ago and its just amazing, my previous keyboard was a Corsair K70 75% and its so pricy twice the price as the S98, and the corsair is a premium gaming keyboard but has lots of problems, volume knob design is prone to dust and hard to clean up and it causes its sensitivity to peak up, the keycaps are bad, the switches are fast no latency but wobbly when tiping and whats worst is that its not hot swap, i regret buying it, i could have bought a GMK hotswap keyboard. what i regret on my s98 is that i bought it with the blue switches, i like clicky but its not consistent, but im going to replace it with the akko v3 crystal.

You should return it as soon as you can, or atleast have the warranty extended or something. I don't recommend anyone buying anything from this scam of a brand. Just 3 months after buying this, the battery started dying. Funny enough, they have separate warranty policies spesifically for the battery, which is (surprise surprise) only 3 months compared to the 1 year general warranty. And since mine broke down in like, + 3 days after that, of course I got hit with the usual "Sorry your baterry warranty has expired so there's nothing we could do😢". Despite being promoted as a wireless keyboard, now I'm stuck using a USB cable with it lol. I won't be surprise if the Keyboard it self will suddenly exploded just hours after the 1 year warrantly has expired. Overall I don't trust this brand anymore.

@@gokkebbb im sorry u had to experience that, ill keep that in mind thanks, so far im not using this on wireless mode, i only use wireless when i need to, but im always on wired. and even if this doesn't have wireless mode id still buy it, you can expect any wireless keyboard battery to die early than the keyboard it self, its why im always using it wired. You should try logitech wireless keyboards, they do last long but more or less 2.5x the price, i always wanted one back then but the price is just not worth it. Theres also the silicon luck thing, where maybe i get lucky and mine would last long, however id be happy enough if it would last a year.

It’s a mostly plastic body, with metal plate on the back. Very well built though regardless. (This has been my daily driver for the past few months lol)

Yes! They also have a quieter Linear Viridian switch. The board in the video has the Pale Green Tactile switches.

Surprising to hear tbh. I’ve never had any issues with.. any of their products. Sure, I own quite a few different boards from them, and I’m not using one specific one for more than about a month or 2 at a time. But tbh your situation sounds pretty rare. Sorry about what happened :(

@@hardwired2 Yeah, this one has a nice gimmick and does a decent enough job for a while, especially for it's price. But it deteriorate much faster than other similiarly priced keyboard after just a few months. Definitely not something you'll use for your main keyboard, the gimmicks are nice and all, but if your job requires you to type all day then you'll need something with a solid build rather than some flashy gimmicks

@@hardwired2 Depends on what you're looking for, since every wireless keyboard in the similar price range generally has some similar problems. Logitech has better customer supports and policy though, and is much cheaper than the average, so if you just want a functional keyboard atleast those are reliable enough. If you're okay with wired, then any of Steelseries keyboard in those price range is solid pick. They also have a wireless keyboard line, though I've personally never tried them. They're also much pricier than both the RKs and logitech mentioned, so it's not exactly a fair comparison
