On Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd of October 2023, the RPSI held the 2 day "Liffey Leesider" diesel railtour which ran from Dublin Connolly - Howth and back and then to Clonmel, Limerick and Cork (where the tour would stay overnight) on the first day, and then from Cork - Cobh and back, Cork - Killarney - Dublin Connolly and finally Dublin Connolly - Dundalk and back.
The tour was originally intended to go to Midleton on the second day, but due to damage caused by flooding it was cancelled and was replaced by a run to Cobh, with Killarney also added to the schedule to save time, and the run from Connolly to Dundalk had originally been intended to go as far as Drogheda.
The locos in charge were 071 Class Locos 075, 081, and 083. 201 Class Loco number 234 hauled the tour from Cork - Cobh, but this video will only show the 071s in action at the following locations:
First Day:
Sutton
Clontarf Road
Drumcondra (where we also see 201 Class Loco number 207 passing running light engine from Inchicore to Connolly)
Second Day:
Hazelhatch & Celbridge
Rush & Lusk
Gormanston
A few weeks ago I got a new camcorder since my old one broke a few months ago, hence why you'll see zooming in my videos once again.
