How many times I dreamed of Russia. Since I was a child I used to read Chechov and, sometimes, I felt a deep nostalgy for that infinite lands and their people. Sometimes I felt Russia as my land. At the end I was almost expecting him to do a dance movement like he did in one of his performances many decades before...

Well, almost twenty years after hearing the song for the first time, now I know and thanks for that.We can hear that Belyaev kept his voice to the very end when age is not always so kind to tenors. Very touching, as ever. Please, keep uploading these fantastic recordings!PS: Zazhigin (the balalaikist) is a buddy of my balalaika teacher :) So neat to see him playing at the Tchaikovsky Hall...

Under President Putin, the prestige of the choir was restored to that of its Soviet glory and the music remains as popular as ever in Russia and the wider world. Today's loss is a colossal blow for Russian culture. The choir will continue, it will have to be re-built from the ground up, but the voices silenced in the plane crash will continue to haunt many. May God rest the souls of all those lost in this terrible tragedy. READ MORE: www.sott.net/article/337724-Tragic-loss-of-Alexandrov-Choir-journalists-charity-workers-in-crash-of-Russian-aircraft

Some lyrics I found on google for Regimental Polka on 4:20 На солдатском привале Баяны заиграли, Подала команду "Полька": -Танцуйте, да и только!
