I love Zero Hour. I have over 200hrs in the PvP. Its a very refreshing take on the 5v5 SnD genre that games like Counter Strike and Siege are famous for, but at a pace that I can actually keep up and enjoy. Having said that, after playing the Ready or Not alpha, Zero Hour is dead in the water as soon as RoN comes out with a PvP mode. The graphical fidelity, immersive features like the under door cam, smooth gunplay, and optimization really stand out when you jump between the two games. Zero Hour just had a QoL update, but at the end of the day, without redesigned maps, a graphics and animation overhaul, and a complete rework of the party and matchmaking system, it is kind of just dead. I'm looking forward to see where Ready or Not is headed.

My tip for new players getting into Ready or Not is to use the TAC700, its non lethal pepperballs does not infringe the rules of engagement so you can just shoot everything on sight and it comes with a massive 200 rounds magazine. Also it should be noted that it is practically impossible to get high score with lethal weapons considering a dead suspect only scores +5 points while an arrest gives you +35 points.

It costs almost nothing and never had any funding to even start with, it was purely a passion project. It’s important to note again is that RoE has ai teammates you can give orders to (like the original r6 or SWAT games). This really sold it to me since there are times I want to play and friends are not on, so I’ll do a solo run and just a 1 man team really doesn’t do it for both of this games. So if you will mostly play by yourself then I suggest RoE as having ai teammates levels the playing field. Everything else RoE just does it better and it’s better implemented. I’m just happy there are more games like this in development.

Great video Tacti! I know how hard making comparisons at this point can be, seeing as both games have a lot of promised content, and it's a crapshoot to know what will actually end up being implemented.

In Zero Hour they really have to fix the AI and also they have to put in a jump feature so you can step over chairs or shelves that fell over...if you are not supposed to go one way then don't put a chair with 0.5m space between it and the wall where everyone fits in between IRL but just block it off completely:/ And also on big maps you should have a feature like in PUBG for example where you hold your breath and therefore the scope dies not shake all the time But zero hour still is really fun, especially when u play it with some friends

In my opinion ready or not is more intense than zero hour, mainly because you move slower, forcing you to be more technical in your engagement, building that intensity more and more as you progress and the need of split second decision making because of their better AI, it just make engaging with enemy more intense and rewarding when you came out un-injured, because you know that just one mistake can cost you a life.

I only tested Zero Hour for now, and i recommend that you buy it only if you have a group of friends (at least 1) that can play it with you. There's no people on the online servers. And if you have a little more people with you, the PvP is good fun, specially with friends. You can try a diverse and creative ways to beat each other (tripwire, sticky-cams, night-vision; remote explosives), and the possibility of going prone allows you to hide a lot. The co-op is very good as well, but only if your friends enjoy the tactical-teamwork-shooter experience; not for faster-paced shooter players. I think it is a lot more about being carefull and precise than about moving a lot.

The PvP of Zero Hour is great, really scratches that itch that Rainbow6 Siege did a while ago. But Ready or Not is absolutely amazing. Fighting against AI that is generally difficult and perfecting each level is awesome. I just hope VOID doesn't give in to the players who are begging for PvP

Why not have both PvP and PvE? That would make RoN the king of this category by a mile imo.
@jezoboii

@@ARV1999 Well for starters the state of PvP. They did an alpha test a while ago and it was a disaster. As much as I would like to see a hardcore Rainbow6 Siege type game, it just isn't what the developers and majority of the player base envision for this game.

I think zero hour is better, there are a lot of reasons but one is that nightvision sucks in ready or not

Well zero hour is half baked asf (rightfully so, it isn't pretending to be finished) so honestly gotta give it to ready or not. It's legit just zero hour but exponentially better

Zero hour isn't bad but there's a bunch of bugs that'll ruin your experience. sometimes you'll load into a PvE and it didn't load any enemies or the bot thats suppose to extract gets stuck against something and wont move. I cant count the amount of times my friends and i have cleared the entire map then just end up elephant stomping around just trying to get the end to prompt.

Was my last comment about Zero Hour adding a kernel-level anticheat deleted? That's not very nice. People should know about that before buying and playing ZH. EDIT: The comment being deleted is probably KZitem's fault because they're controlled by idiots.

3:11 if RoN did PVP, I really hope their anti cheat is robust as Hell and carry out IP and account bans for offenders. I could see an active shooter (say two or three "bad guys") scenario where one team is trying to kill the civvies while SWAT is trying to end them although I could see that being a major bitch to pull of well. Another could be hostage rescue a la counter-strike. I wouldn't want a shitty arcade style team vs team deathmatch like call of dookie. Be neat to have a fake out surrender animation for any SWAT team members lowering their guard.
