@God's BATTLE AX NOPE .. ummm - "collapsed economy" in ALL Latin America from Mexico to Chile. - "high cost of living" if you want to live near the Pacific Ocean. - Tension between Venezuelans and Peruvians is VERY NATURAL, no country in the world in less than 2 years received an immigration of more than 2 million people, with another culture and other personalities. - "Horrendous infrastructure" honey we are in the third world, do not expect the skyscrapers of Dubai, because not even in the "most developed" country of latam, they exist. HAITI IS BEAUTIFUL! and very beautiful districts in Lima, (except Miraflores and San Isidro) La Molina, Barranco, Surco, Breña, San Miguel, Jesus Maria, Callao, Magdalena del Mar, Ancon, Chaclacayo, Chorrillos, Pucusana, Puente Piedra, Punta Hermosa, Punta Negra, San Bartolo etc ... Sure you went to the desert and very poor districts, (Lima is a desert) like Las Vegas in the United States. Lescano will not win, there is also the former athlete George Forsyth and the ultra-right businessman, millionaire Rafael Lopez Aliaga.

@God's BATTLE AX please stop hate! In Colombia there are no giant garbage dumps? the poverty seen in medellin and cartagena is overwhelming, the favelas in rio in brazil are the most dangerous in the world, half of mexico is very poor and in chile people are getting poorer and in collapse watch the marches in its streets .. Argentina is on the verge of becoming Venezuela, you have a lot of hatred for Peru... and I regret what happened to you in my country, but Lima is the most visited city in South America! According to experts, (MASTERCARD) if people visit it a lot, especially, Americans and Europeans, it must have something, because it far exceeds in visits to Buenos Aires, Bogota, Cartagena or Santiago in Chile.

Great video and having lived in South America (Chile and Argentina) can say South America as a whole is a unique place to live but would not live their again, very different living long-term verse a short-term trip. Also, note in Chile you will need to live in a pretty decent area to avoid crime, but one issue in Chile is often what appears to look like a nice area can actually become pretty sketchy at night and as they say looks can be deceiving. Regarding, Paraguay not so sure this is a very safe place. Many Paraguayans live in Argentina and will all state that Paraguay has a pretty high rate of crime but I suppose that depends on the city and area of the city one is living. Regarding Uruguay that is another country I visited in 2014 and really enjoyed it, very tranquil and absolutely the safety ratings of Uruguay are not over hyped. Uruguay is both very European and modern and often you will feel like you are somewhere in Europe if you travel to certain parts of Uruguay. Uruguay also has a really cool vibe if you are more of the "hippy"/musician type that just wants to sit back and enjoy life, as many people will go to Uruguay to live this type of lifestyle and it has a climate system and culture that is well designed for this type of lifestyle.

I am still going to pitch Chile. If you have a pension or other probable source of income of 1000 USD you can get permanent residency. Foreign pension income is not taxed. Healthcare is free or cheap in the public system. (More doctors in the public system speak English than in the private sector). Depending on where you live you will have some neighbors that speak English. I bought my cabana with 400m of land for 50,000 USD. But that is in the campo. Usually you have to pay in cash.... But if you have lived here and develop relationships with your neighbors you can find someone that will sell you something in payments over a few years. And it is a nice and beautiful place to live.
