Absolutely amazing how the corps has changed since I was there (a very short time)

Wow. Learnt lots that I hadn’t realised, but more importantly saw some wonderful people that can’t be forgotten. Mum absolutely loved the video too, and for sure, Dad would have too. Well done to whoever put this together. God bless Liverpool Walton Corps.

I lived in St Hilda st and every Sunday the kids would hear the band marching down Walton rd back to the hall ,one Sunday my sister Pauline tried to cross the road just before the band turned right in to the hall she was knocked down by a car and received a head injury ,,..

I loved this! Only a few months ago after moving to Galway I decided I needed to return to The Army after being a Catholic since 1987. How proud I am to be back home again. Despite being born and brougjt up in St Albans I do have a Liverpool connection, my maternal grandmother was from West Derby and her name was Annie Johnson. According to mum the family ran a cafe on the docks and her younger sister is buried in Liverpool. God bless all in the corps and I would love to visit after the pandemic is over. Tessa Adie

Josiah and Kate are my great great grandparents :) I now live in Liverpool and attend Liverpool Stoneycroft where my sister is the officer! Didn’t know Josiah and Kate had been in Liverpool!
