Surosentiko was a guru. He spread his teachings and critical thoughts almost two decades, from 1889 until 1907. In Blora, Central Java, he founded a school named Adam. Serving as a center for people's education, it became famous up through East Java.
Similar to what Mahatma Gandhi did in India, Surosentiko and his followers carried out a non-violent resistance movement. They repudiated rules made by the Dutch East Indies colonial administration. The movement was called sirep, a resistance movement based on love for fellow human creatures.
This film is a tribute to Surosentiko, his struggle and courage to stand up for his people's vitality.
