I have NEVER jump on the over rated ass Kawhi train!!! Just my opinion
@small_blue_bird
Ай бұрын
@bryandungee1029 That's one of the all-time casual opinions. Kawhi was given the 2019 championship? 🤣 To even make the finals, he had to go through the insanely loaded Sixers who had a starting 5 of Jimmy Butler, Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons who may be a fraud today but was an all-star that year, Tobias Harris, and JJ Reddick. That wasn't exactly easy, the Raptors beat them by 2 points with Kawhi averaging a ridiculous 35 points on 53% shooting for the series. Then they had to go through the Bucks who had the best record in the league, the MVP of the league in Giannis, all-star Khris Middleton, and a deep team around them that perfectly spaced the floor and fit Giannis's playstyle. That wasn't easy, that Bucks team was steamrolling everyone. And even when he makes the finals and KD doesn't play for more than a few seconds, Klay Thompson still played in 5 out of 6 games and averaged almost 38 mins across them. So he still had to knock off a team that had 3 hall of famers even if one missed a bit of time. And lets not overlook, Kawhi did it on one leg. He was injured. He was visibly hobbling on the court in the playoffs and had to be rested 22 games in regular season. Clippers Kawhi was a disappointment, but lets be real, 2019 Raptors Kawhi was legit. he scored the 3rd most points in a playoff run in NBA playoffs history only behind 2018 LeBron and MJ.

I can agree with most of the video except for your opinion on the necessary games played for individual awards. If you miss more than 20% of the season, you dont deserve any awards. Especially not mvp. Its the Most VALUABLE player. If you miss game after game then you dont provide enough VALUE. Thats why i think 65 games is still too few. If youre a player like embiid or kawhii you are simply an injury prone player. Thats bad luck. But there are others who arent injury prone and even if a player averages 28/6/6 but plsy 70 games a season you are more valuable than a player averaging 35/10/10 but only plays 35 games a season. I would rsther have a dependable average star than a superstar you can depend on to miss more than half s season.

The player resting policy (PRP) is absolute nonsense. The players union should have fought against this since it shows blatant disregard for any of the player's needs. It's great for me as a spectator, but I dislike how it's purely an entertainment league now and everything is only about money. I'd rather have my team's players fit and healthy for the playoffs. But the NBA doesn't care about the team's success at all, since they know the fans are going to tune in to their team's playoff games anyways, they rather have my team lose in the playoffs to get a few dollars more for the season games.

Clippers were braindead to risk that much to get Kawhi when it was obvious by that point he was extremely injury prone, and not the same defensive player he was once.

Unreal detail as always big man. I must say some of the commentary is cringe inducing as hell but your work ethic and detail just about overcomes it 🤣

Great video. I don’t understand why anyone (unless your Lakers fan) would be satisfied that the Clippers failed with Kawhi and PG. Injuries are the literally the reason it didn’t work out. I would that Shai PG trade a 100 times because at the time, no one knew Shai would be this good and again no one seen the injuries coming with PG and Kawhi.

No matter who they get? The Clippers are always gonna be their own worst enemy. Hell they still scramble for the crumbs the Lakers leave even when they sucked the air out of Staples Center from 2012-2020. & In thay time they did nothing but choke away playoff leads. Which is why I'll never be threatened by shit they do. 😩😩😩

I'm certain SGA is a star only because he was traded from the clippers. He got the benefit of the anti magic on the franchise.

I didn’t have a problem with the Clippers until CP3 got there then I prayed on their downfall..once he left & Khawhi & PG got there I was lowkey rooting for them until PG & Lou went on podcasts claiming that if they won in the bubble nobody would respect it which is utter rubbish every since then Ive been a member of the Flippers hater club & I hope they never win anything ever

Also crazy how in just 4 years 57 million in cap space seems like nothing, and not enough for 2 superstars.

I love how they talk about wanting to make cap space free now. For what? To hire star players you'll get rid off again anyways.

What gets me is how you blame other outside situations when the clippers had a 3-1 lead and up big in all the last 3 games
