It was Apatosaurus in the Jurassic Park novel. They developed a symbiotic relationship with the Parasaurolophus. The Parasaurolophus used their superior eyesight to spot predators and their call to send out a warning, while the Apatosaurus defended them with their larger size and whip-like tail.

Yo Dino guy, aren’t the Ornithopods the most dinosaur of the dinosaurs? They have feathers which are a true dinosaurian traits (though all ornithodirans have….) anyway They have big armor scales on the necks of edmontosaurus at least though more likely at least saurolophines as a whole They have big archosaurian head crests that are more common in dinosaurs themselves eg… lacrimal and nasal crests in theropods, all advanced ceratopsians, ankylosaurs have horns and stuff, stegosaurs have back plates but no crests… They have hooves and claws in the latest ones They are facultative quadrupeds so all the dinosaur postures are possible They have beaks which are scarily common in ornithodirans/avemetarsalia Idk I’d say ornithopods personally

The Jurassic Park brachiosaurus is not giraffetitan, its a brachiosaurus with a skull based of giraffetitan as the brachiosaurus skull hadn't been discovered yet. On a similar note the Jurassic park velociraptor is not dinonychus as dinonychus is also cannon to the Jurassic park franchise as well as it being confirmed to be velociraptor mongoliensis by dr henry wu in the novel and the dna that their movie counterparts dna was found in Mongolia, not where dinonychus lived.
@DinoGuy8
Ай бұрын
Brachiosaurus reconstructions were often based off of Giraffatitan due to it being considered a species of Brachiosaurus at the time. Obviously in universe it’s called Brachiosaurus. But out of universe, it very much is closer to Giraffatitan so it is absolutely worth mentioning that fun piece of trivia. And the JP velociraptors (both books and movies) are based off of Deinonychus. Crichton subscribed to Gregory Paul’s idea to label Deinonychus as a species of Velociraptor. The whole reason why that skeleton in the first film was being dug up in Montana, and not Mongolia. And why, skeletally, they resemble Deinonychus way more than Velociraptor.
@Breviparopus

@prehistoricchannel128 for a start giraffetitan became it's own genus in 1991 when jurassic park came out in 1993 so it is clearly intended to be brachiosaurus altithorax. Also In the novels the velociraptor had a Body shape that far more resembled velociraptor mongoliensis than dinonychus antirrhopus. Just because the velociraptors in jurassic park were designed to look like dinonychus doesn't mean that they are
