This is a day I won't forget....the Saxon Shore Way out of Sittingbourne goes along busy main roads, and then when I finally reach Milton Creek, I find the footpath is totally blocked! Note that this is the opposite bank of Milton Creek to that followed in the Swale to Sittingbourne walk of 18 November 2016. I then had to use an alternative path (not Saxon Shore Way) to reach the sea wall to rejoin the Saxon Shore Way- parts of this path were flooded and barely passable! On reaching the sea wall, guess what....gale force winds! So a pretty hard day. I walked about 6,5 miles in all, including 1.5 miles after finally leaving Saxon Shore Way at Conyer along the road to Teynham station. There are some great views in this video across the Swale from various vantage points on the sea wall. The walk took place in sunny, but at times very windy, weather on Friday 25 November 2016.
