It’s so amazing when KZitem decides to make the algorithm work and give you actually great content from under appreciated creators. This deserves waaaay more views, well done!

Wow, the algorithm knows me well. Suggests a guy that likes the same movies, is fascinated with the same stuff, loves Silent Hill, and even uses Survival Sphere's songs (known him for years, love his work). The algorithm man, it's getting under my skin lmao. Great video man

One of my favorite use of this device is actually from Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal in the Nightfeeder episode. Spear and Fang encounter a monster and throughout the episode you don't see it, but you see the horror and death it causes especially from the characters reaction. Such a wonderful usage of the device rarely used in animation.

Hereditary is a movie that disturbed me so much that I'm never watching it all the way through again.

Am I the only one who wasn't scared throughout that movie. It just wasn't as scary as people made it out to be.

@@antoniobrown247 For me it wasn't that it was scary. It just felt...wrong. I was seeing something I should not, intruding on this broken family's worst moments. It's the idea of finding a random video tape hidden somewhere and watching it only to realize the darkness within. That's how it affected me. Plus the dinner scene was so uncomfortable. Just get me out of there.

@@Egan-pop That describes it for me too. Not necessarily scary but just….extremely unsettling.

Absolutely loved this!!! A feel like fewer and fewer directors and studios are doing this. There’s so many movies that would work better if we never saw the villain or the big reveal was more restrained. The only thing most people really remember about “Se7en” is “WHATS IN THE BOX?!!” 📦 People are still talking about it because what you imagine in your head is always worse than seeing GP’s fake rubbery head. It wouldn’t have worked so well if Fincher showed us.

This was actually discussed in one episode of the Amazing World of Gumball. When threatening others, Jamie would just mentions that she'll something horrible with three objects, and lets her target imagine the outcome. 😂

The best films use this technique. Alien and Jaws spring instantly to mind as top tier examples. Give me one jump scare early on (preferably a fake out) to set the tone then build the tension.

When things are hidden ... it bothers the normal mass audience cause they NEED to know. But not knowing a macguffiin's true contents or what is happening away from the eye is the perfect way to garner attention and bring out a person imagination. I love it. It is ALWAYS a disappointment when you find out what should be kept hidden....

This is why the animated "Aladdin" was the last film that I saw. You're telling me that I have to pay $11-$15 for this disgusting experience? How is that entertainment? I think it's time for moviemakers to go back to the drawing board.

Maybe it is not horror movie, but you forget to mention the movie 'Seven' (1995) starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. The "what's in the box?!?!" scene...🫣
