Title: Heat Transfer by Conduction
The transfer of heat from a body at higher temperature to lower temperature occurs by three processes, namely, conduction, convection and radiation. In conduction, heat is transferred due to temperature difference between the neighbouring parts of the same body or different bodies in contact without transference of material particles. Generally in solids, heat is transferred by conduction The process of transmission of heat in which heat flows from hotter to colder part of a body or to another body in contact with it without actual transference of material particles is known as conduction.
