They use to say that Lao Tzu was the most amazing man - he ate when he was hungry, he slept when he was tired! Be sensitive to the body. There is no one shoe sizes that fits every individual & unique foot, in this life. Everything is circumstantial. Do what you must. Be aware of how food makes you feel. Draw up an equation. I ate this now I feel that and make adjustments. Love the food eaten; feel a connection to the life force expressed within that chosen food item and feel gratitude for the body processing this synthesis! Most importantly : don’t confuse the container with the contents.

Another great interview with a wealth of information! All of your interviews are packed with super important and the latest research on any given subject. Thanks for bringing Dr. Layne Norton on the show who has tons of accolades. My main takeaways are "Do what works for you". There's never one lifestyle that works for everyone. Each of us has our own genetic makeup and we need to optimize our health in the best way that works for us. I completely believe in the placebo effect in all realms: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Thank you Ed for all you do for the world! #MAXOUT from Israel

I can answer that question. And it’s pretty sad so many people think that way. Imagine those people if they hadn’t gone to the gym for 5, 6, or 7 years. Another thing is that some people just want to maintain. And yet another thing is that people are born with varying muscle tone and ability to gain. That’s why west Africans can never touch weights and still be jacked and people from India can work out all day and never get jacked. Your body’s ability to inhibit or not inhibit Myostatin is the reason we grow or do not grow. Anyways the point is stop judging other people in the gym . Even if they have 20 years at the gym. A wise person says….imagine if they didn’t spend the last 20 years here 👍🏼

I did IF & Keto for 3 months and lost toooo much weight. HOWEVER I felt AMAZING. I also got rid of all my joint pain. Since I’ve stopped doing both and all my joint pain has returned. So bringing carbs back has increased my muscle size but I’m hurting again. I’ve been able to control my weight. I just think autophagy is the real reason to IF and that doesn’t get talked about often enough.

Take away some foods you eat , And see what happens, And start adding back in some foods, Only 1or 2 foods at a time, to see how ur body responds, Protien + carbs+ fats - are #1 U aways gotta change up ur food!! I have been studying and experimenting on my self, my whole life , nutrition and training This has been and is still my life!! And ur pasta , u talked about !! U sound like ur not carbs sensitive!! On the Keto topic, I do a high protein, lower fat version. You can easily get into keto with protein, eggs and vegtables. If I do Keto, I don't generally pound fat. I get enough from the eggs and protein I am eating along with some olive oils. So I've always wondered if that is the best of both worlds as long as you dont feel like garbage. Combined with a 20:4 and one 24 fast per week, the fat melts off of me. The negative is I am just keeping gains at that point (and likely losing some). The challenge is getting enough protein so its something I only throw in for a month of two. The 24 per week you have to get your salts, mag, and potasium. The nice thing too is if you can start your cut with a 48-72 hour fast (with the right minerals), you can basically piss purple on the stick witout the carb flu. I cant deal with that so it takes me about a week.
