Look like a beautifully smart system you have developed here, the only thing I'm concerned about is, the fact that is made of aluminium, since bergundsteigen made some tests a few years ago comparing aluminium carabiners with steel carabiners and found, that the aluminium looses a lot of strength when it is repetitively stressed a lot (like when used for a slackline), and consequently suddenly breaks well under the rated minimum breaking strength. why is that not a problem with aluminium weblocks? by the way, love your tutorials, your not only good at slacklining but also very good at explaining and showing things. thanks a lot for the effort you put in.

Why choke the sling? Basket is much more natural both for the sling and the device, it is stronger and it won't be damaged, that is, choked. Never choke a sling.

Slings are that strong that using a girth hitch is normally no problem. However, possibly problematic for the tree. Girth hitched slings on the other hand don't slide down but hold in place better. There are lots of pros and cons for both - it is best to decide in the situation which one to use.

@@SlacktivityCh I meant the short sling which you passed through the Seahorse, but all slings in general are much weaker girth hitched.

@@SlacktivityCh , thanks I just purchased 4 from you and another 2 other pieces of hardware. Do you have a link to a video that demonstrates with more detail how you set up the HangOvers for tension?

Hi sam, i bought the deadman plate but for now the shackles i have are too big to fit on the Shackle-spacer and i would like to know if it's ok to use the bigger holes for the shackles, i will just it once this way. Sorry for the silly question.

Hi Joao. Yep, it is totally OK to use the bigger holes too. The minimum breaking strength counts in all directions.
