😋 Making meal-stealer banchan (side dish) for a week! It was really nice to know not only everyone’s love but also everyone’s favorite banchan. In return for your great response, I brought the second episode of “Korean banchan for the week”. Today’s banchans are also as easy as those from the 1st episode. Make sure to try it out next week! 😋 [Stir-fried Sausage with Vegetables] 2~3servings
- Ingredients : 225g Vienna sausages, ½ Onion, 1/3 Paprika(Green, Yellow, Red), Cooking oil, Parsely, Sesame seeds
- Seasonings : 4tbsp Ketchup, 1tbsp Oyster sauce, 1tbsp Cooking wine, 1tbsp Corn syrup, 1/2tbsp Minced garlic, Pepper
1. Make cuts on vienna sausages only on one side, put them in boiling water for about 30 seconds.
2. Cut the onion and paprika into bite-sized pieces and chop the parsley finely. Mix all seasoning ingredients in a bowl.
3. Put oil into a heated pan, stir-fry the vienna sausage and onions for about 1 minute, then add paprika with a pinch of salt and pepper to stir-fry. Add the seasoning and stir-fry evenly.
4. Put all on a plate and sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped parsley.
😋 [Seasoned Cucumber] 2servings
- Ingredients : 1 Cucumber, 1/2 Onion, 1/2tsp Salt, Sesame seeds, 1/2tbsp Sesame oil
- Seasonings : 2tbsp Red pepper powder, 1/2tbsp Gochujang, 3tbsp Vinegar, 1tbsp Sugar, 1/2tbsp Corn syrup, 1/2tbsp Soy sauce, 1tbsp Minced garlic
1. Cut the cucumber into 0.5cm thick, add a pinch of salt, and leave them for 5-10 minutes before squeezing water out. Slice the onion.
2. Mix all seasoning ingredients in a bowl.
3. Add cucumber and onion and mix them.
4. Add sesame seeds and sesame oil to finish.
😋 [Braised baby potatoes] 2~3servings
- Ingredients : 30 Baby potatoes, 1 Dried pepper, 1tbsp Corn syrup, Sesame seeds, Cooking oil
- Seasonings : 1+1/2cups of Water, 1 Kelp, 4tbsp Soy sauce, 2tbsp Cooking wine, 1tbsp Sugar, 1tsp Sesame oil, Pepper
1. Cut the dried red pepper into rings and wash the small potatoes with skins.
2. Put small potatoes in a pot and pour water to cover the potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes.
(Boiling time may vary depending on the size of the small potatoes. If you can put a skewer into a potato easily, then it’s done.)
3. Add a little oil to a pan, stir-fry the potatoes slightly. Add soy sauce, kelp, and dried red pepper, boil them down, and mix the starch syrup at the end.
4. Put braised small potatoes in a bowl and sprinkle sesame seeds
