As a Burner and Juplaya enthusiast, this video grosses me out on so many levels. I don't think I have to explain why.

@@GetLostwithBrooks Don't be dense. You saw the discussion in the Burner community. You're commodifying our culture for profit and putting our ability to use the playa at risk. Juplaya as a non-event only works if people respect and treat it as such. You should take this video down.

Really amazing video. This must have been what it was like when the first few burning Mans happened. I hope Fourth of playa takes off. I've been to Burning man a couple times and I'd like to go without all the rules and police. You did a great job on the video subscribed.

Thank you for this wonderful recap!! I am part of Bar Mac and we had an amazing time on 4th Juplaya this year. Some camp mates felt it was better than Burning Man, more pure, real. Like you said, before flashy camps and sparkle ponies. We enjoyed the beauty of the land and each other. And btw - NO ONE from our camp tested positive after the event.. imagine that.. The playa always provides!

Nice video although I'm the guy who hates to see JuPlaya publicized....it's sweet as is. Just wanted to note that the reason to pick up the little stuff is that the little stuff builds up sand and can form dunes over time. I've seen somebody hit an unexpected dune at high speed and it'll really mess you up. The playa is great as a flat clean slate. Keeping it clean keeps it flat.

Get Lost with Brooks dude that’s a long three nights for a Juplaya. I’ve only ever done two and then gone back out the next weekend. Good video production and Brooks is a very cool guy (hi Brooks!) but having gone to this “secret event” ten years ago, I kind of wish that it could _remain_ that and not be promoted here. I thought of making a video once too but didn’t for that reason. Oh well, I guess it was bound to become known by thousands.... then again, you can goto the playa any time you want, so we will just start a new secret event. :)

Hi, Loved the video! I'm a relatively new subscriber introduced by Daily Dose of Internet. At first I was surprised when I saw you were only 4k subs with the quality of videos you put out. But I guess that's how it goes for content creators starting out, lots of effort put in with minimal return. I hope you keep at it though! I've been wanting to go to California and see the ocean for the first time. But I have no clue what else to do down there and I'm not going to go *just* for the beaches. Do you have any recommendations for where I could go while I'm down there?
@GetLostwithBrooks
4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for subscribing and I'm stoked you're digging my content! Man, coming to California for a visit is a great idea and can mean a lot of things. First, you need to understand the zones of California. It's such a big state that it has many different bio regions with their own characteristics. A good starting place is to differentiate between Northern California and Southern California. But the Bay Area is unique from Mendocino and Tahoe. Joshua Tree and Death Valley are so different than Santa Monica. I recommend you check out "California Through My Lens" - he's a great creator with videos more focused on exact places to visit. BUT.. since you asked me, I highly recommend you check out Yosemite - it's one of the most popular National Parks in the nation, or Lake Tahoe for a very different beach experience.

I clicked this video because I saw you on a EUC! I really would like to bring mine this year but unsure if it's wise. Will it overheat? Does the dust overwhelm it? I have a kingsong s18 and inmotion v8 if you know about wheels. Aside from that, very well made video!! Are you going this year?

I can understand both sides of this. You don't want them blowing up your spot, but, on the other hand, the secret is long out, not just on KZitem but all over social media and the web, but these people who go without all the BM bells and whistles def have to be more self-sufficient and will never be there in very great numbers
