As much as possible I try to leave personal opinions and feelings out of the videos and simply tell the story of the people. I will say here though that, my personal feelings on Gloria are quite negative, she never criticized Hitler or the Reich and enjoyed herself when the Nazis were in power, then when it was clear the war was lost she got of there as fast as she could and found people to protect her from any problems. There is also evidence she actively assisted the Reich as a spy, though this has never been definitively confirmed. I hope you enjoy the stories, and I am eager to read your comments about her.

Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis, born under the sun sign of Leo, with Scorpio rising, was, is and always be, the fashion icon, to end all fashion icons. Her personal magnetism made made it possible for her to look chic, even in a simple black top, white capris and sandals. And Mrs. Onassis attraction went beyond her physical appearance. She was brilliant. As a young girl, her favorite poet was Byron. But, she was born during the days when, "Men were men, and women took Valium." There was so much she played down in order to not "scare men away." Mrs. Guinness, unfortunately, sounds like an insecure high school girl who needed a bit too much reassurance. Did she really need to be such a b-with-a-itch to Mrs. Paley? Chronological age can so often differ, vastly, from a person's mental and emotional age.

As a old fashioned feminist who came of age in the late 19970s I realized that in the '1950s a woman had to seem to always say no to sex, but in the 60s a woman who said no was somehow "uptight".... recognizing the coercive pressure inherent in pseudo-leftist hedonism I looked to the fashion greats whose style worked in every era like Kelly, Chanel, Kennedy, Simpson, to know how to dress during a career that took me too often to professional spaces previously open only to men - to use the power of the aesthetic to allow the men to feel comfortable with me in the work space but disabusing them on sight of any unacceptable fantasies too many harbored. As for their past sins, I was raised to know we are all sinners, myself included, to judge as I would hope to be judged - so I do my best not to. I did not share her politics but the one thing I liked about those amazing women was at least they closed ranks on Truman Capote when his psychopathy was finally revealed. As for the clothing first I learned to sew very well and later on I learned to build a wardrobe around the best black suit I could afford. The French are right: how much better for everyone even the planet itself, were we to make purchasing decisions based on style not trends? G

Maybe she decided that her play might not bring her credit and her husband advised her of the fact. For Jackie it was not about fashion, she spent a fortune on clothes, as Onassis allowed her to spend all she wanted, she would sometimes wear them once and then sell them through her assistant. It was one of the reasons she did not have to remarry after Onassis and was worth 45 million dollars at the time of her death. Her spending habits annoyed Onassis but it was the contract he agreed to when Ted Kennedy negotiated it.

3:34. I don't understand how Gloria as Mexican was in any danger of running afoul of Nazi ethnic laws. She was a Catholic and the Nazi's did not target Latins. Italy and Mussolini were German allies, after all, and Hitler beseeched Franco of Spain to enter W.W. II on Germany's side.
@MythicMindScape21

Gloria could potentially have faced trouble under the Aryan laws of the Nazi regime due to her Mexican heritage and her marriage to a German-Jewish businessman named Franz-Egon von Fürstenberg. The Nazi regime's Aryan laws, particularly the Nuremberg Laws enacted in 1935, were racial laws that forbade marriages and sexual relations between Jews and persons of "German or related blood." These laws also included broad provisions for who was considered non-Aryan, including people of non-European descent. Given Gloria's Mexican background, she would not have been considered Aryan under these laws. Moreover, her association and marriage to a Jewish individual would have further complicated her status, possibly subjecting her to discriminatory actions and legal consequences. Franz-Egon von Fürstenberg, despite being Jewish, managed to navigate the difficult and dangerous environment under the Nazi regime due to several factors: Aristocratic Status and Connections: Franz-Egon was part of the aristocratic Fürstenberg family, which had significant social and political connections. This aristocratic status might have provided him some initial protection or the ability to negotiate his position within the society, despite the racial laws against Jews. Conversion and Name Changes: Franz-Egon converted to Catholicism from Judaism and changed his name during the Nazi era, likely as a survival strategy to distance himself from his Jewish heritage in the face of anti-Semitic laws. Despite these moves by him, he was still sent to the Russian front. Gloria however had a new relationship with the German spymaster, General Reinhard Gehlen, which continued to aid in her protection. As for your point about Spain, Spanish people, while European, were generally not considered "Aryan" under the strictest interpretations of Nazi racial ideology. Southern Europeans, including Italians, Greeks, and Spaniards, were often viewed as less desirable compared to the "Nordic" ideal that the Nazis glorified. However, the application of these racial theories could be inconsistent and influenced by political and diplomatic relationships. During the era, the relationship between Nazi Germany and Spain, led by the fascist dictator Francisco Franco, was complex. Franco's regime was aligned with Nazi Germany ideologically and politically during certain periods, particularly during the Spanish Civil War when Nazi Germany supported Franco's Nationalist forces. Due to these political alliances, Spaniards may not have faced the same level of racial scrutiny as other groups, despite not fitting the "Aryan" ideal. This political dimension often influenced how Nazi racial policies were applied in practice, showing that the ideology could be adapted for strategic alliances. Mexicans, being predominantly of a mix of Indigenous and Spanish descent, with a significant proportion of individuals also having African and Asian heritage due to Mexico's diverse history, would have been classified as non-Aryan under Nazi racial laws. The ideology held by the Nazis placed a strong emphasis on racial purity and was explicitly racist and supremacist, ranking ethnic groups according to a pseudoscientific hierarchy that regarded Northern Europeans as superior. Despite this, the real-world application of Nazi racial laws and ideology was sometimes influenced by political and economic considerations. For instance, during the 1930s and 1940s, Germany had diplomatic and economic relations with Mexico. These relations often required a more nuanced approach than the stark categories set out in Nazi racial ideology. However, the fundamental views of the regime remained deeply racist and exclusionary, focusing heavily on ethnic and racial purity as central tenets. It is difficult in these brief documentaries to break down all of the details, and how the Aryan Laws were sometimes used selectively, but Gloria could very well have been targeted by these laws had the regime wished it so as for the reasons listed above.
