I’ve said the same thing. Your experience in high school dictates a lot of your future life and it’s hard to break out of how you were back in those days if you weren’t popular or anything. I enjoyed high school for the most part but I was TERRIBLE with women and I wasn’t popular at all. Especially being an extremely late bloomer. Even now I’m still terrible with women and struggling with the aspect that people can actually value me. It’s a lot of learning and an uphill battle.

I totally agree with the point of not needing my wife to be where I am spiritually. I don’t need my wife to be able to argue why Mormons and Joseph Smith is a false profit or articulate why Catholic Marian Dogma is false. But still needs to whole heartedly believe in Jesus and know the gospel.

Why i instantly get into a intense self-hatred when i hear stories about successful men? Like i instantly view myself as a failure even though i am only 18, so the comparison should not work. I've been struggling with this for the most of my life, and last year i also started to get suicidal thoughts, even started to harm myself intentionally. Obviously i do that in a way that doesn't leave any evidence to be spotted by family and friends
@tyehinson93

A lot of successful man battles with suicidal thoughts and self hatred as you do due to comparison. I'm a victim myself, but what keeps me grounded into falling in love with the process of leveling up is documenting my growth( creating a checklist). I have records of my workout progress, emotion progress, ect. When I start comparing myself to others in the gym, I look at my checklist of how far I came when I just started working out and it gives me confidence. But you'll be fine. You're able to acknowledge where you are to strangers. That's the bravest thing, so obviously somewhere in your core soul you're seeking for ways to want to live again.

dont compare yourself to others!! you have strengths within you, that you wont even realize if you compare yourself with others. you will even miss opportunities that align with your strengths if you keep comparing yourself with others. believe in yourself. affirm yourself. be patient with yourself. it takes TIME to become the best version of yourself, and that too, you are constantly evolving and learning. it takes patience and it is messy. people who appear successful struggle in private, remember! you never see their tearful maybe learn meditation to watch those critical thoughts, and once you are aware of them, bring them up to therapy with a skilled psychotherapist/social worker/psychologist. best wishes. I am a woman who struggled with self-hatred in her early 20s and it got me almost hospitalized.

Mary: because you're *not* looking at the potential female partner from a MAN'S perspective. It's biological. It's visual. It's built into their DNA. 'The best of the best" (and who looked HEALTHY - back in the stone-age days), was preferred, so as to carry on a healthy, beautiful line of offspring. Any human is drawn to the prettiest bloom on a rose bush full of flowers. It's natural. Finding, accepting and walking with God is a learned preference. And, as they said, for a woman who is at least open to a spiritual walk, that area can grow dramatically, over time. Then - they've got it all. That all these men take this picking-a-spouse SO seriously is just about unheard of anymore. Imagine a world where, even for the average looking men and women (who are fine with that aspect of their lives), if they took this same issue as seriously. Wow. Think about the changes in the black communities alone. How different the lives of their children would be. What examples they could be for the rest of the country. A hundred years ago, a high percentage of black communities DID care.

I agree to an extent I genuinely don’t believe that every man is going to simply get the best woman from working on himself. I believe you do that for you and you’ll get a bunch of options your wife has to be what you like yes, but as a man who likes many types it’s impossible to find a woman who can switch it up to every shape body type etc etc. By virtue of not having one set standard type you’re technically settling no matter what.
@chefbryanjacobs5867

So I gotta chime in on the standard for women! I know when you hold yourself to a standard of living life, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically women will dismiss you because you aren’t equally yoked, they feel inferior for no other reason than you holding yourself to that standard. We can’t put standards on others we have to hold ourselves to what we desire in a partner mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually purse what you want not what you don’t want, your partner should compliment all you are for in Gods purpose for you.

I agreed with a lot stated here, but Iunno Hafeez… I think there is going to be a contentment issue with this mindset. Maybe this mindset works for early marriage but it definitely isn’t going to make your marriage last.

Exactly. 💯 ‼️‼️‼️ What if the wife of a "boobs man" has to get a masectomy? What if there are health issues that are beyond normal fitness routine and she can't workout to the level of upkeeping an athletic body? What if the male has E.D.? Both male and female beauty and health fade.
