Crab Pepper Masala Recipe:
Shallots (Finely Chopped) - ½ Cup (100g)
Tomato (Finely Chopped) - 1 Medium (90 g)
Crab - 400 g
Coconut Oil - 2 tbsp (30 ml)
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp (3 g)
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp (3 g)
Dry red chilli - 2 nos (1 g)
Curry leaves - 2 Sprigs
Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp (15 g)
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp (3 g)
Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp (12 g)
Coriander powder - 1 tbsp (12 g)
Salt - 1 tsp (3 g)
Water - 1 cup (250 ml)
Coriander leaves (finely chopped) - 1 tbsp (8 g)
Black Pepper Powder - 1 tbsp (12 g)
Instructions:
1. In a pan over medium heat add oil,cumin seeds, fennel seeds, red chilli and curry leaf.
2. Let it splutter and add the shallots and saute until translucent.
3. Add the ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell disappears.
4. Add the tomato and saute until soft.
5. Add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder and saute until the raw smell disappears.
6. Add the crab and mix well.
7. Add water and let it boil covered for 10 minutes or until the crab’s shell changes color.
8. Take over the lid and let the water evaporate until it reaches a semi gravy consistency.
9. Add black pepper powder and mix well until combined.
10. Finish off with coriander leaves as garnish and serve hot.
