If you guys enjoyed this video, be sure to check out my tutorial series on linear extensions! It includes an alternate approach for learning antispin flowers that also leads to more complicated patterns like Zan's Diamond: kzitem.info/news/bejne/zair25iGnYWWhoI

Oh so it's called a split opposite flower. I just learned the hybrid on wall plane where the poi are going split same and the other does the swoop and the other does the isolation. Took me two weeks of daily 15 min sessions. Good to know it becomes a 4 petal flower when you go split opposite.

I'd like to see more videos like this. Really miss all the old tutorials that were indepth and longer. I like being able to see u go into detail.

I've been trying to figure out what this trick was called for years so I can learn it, but I accidentally stumbled on this video and I am geeked right now.

Awesome! I have been working on these for a while, and these tips definitely sound like they'll help. Now I just need to find a mirror so I can practice!

Hey Drex Great video, I especially liked the idea of using linear isolations in order to teach this move, thanks! for anybody still struggling, I suggest, you really get your split-op inspin flowers clean, before attempting going in antispin (those look great all by themselves and feel awesome to turn through). I also really recommend watching Nicks video, as he adresses the issue on lining up your hands on the bottom and top beat and covers posture.

Thank you for saying these were hard to learn, (I feel a teensy bit validated for not having gotten it yet). I have been having a seriously hard time keeping the energy through the drop/pop poles. I appreciate your break down and steps to learning this set of movements. Recently I've been learning some choreography, the choreographer threw in STO flowers like they were something easy peasy every beginner* should know. He was all, " Well what do you know?" like if I didn't know STO flowers I was hopeless. *Totally not a beginner, but new to learning tech.

Great vid Drex! I also agree with the first comment. There were some important points that would be tough to cover in a 1 min tutorial. I still love those too though.

I'll be going back to the 1-minute tutorials in March--I think they might wind up being more than a minute because it started becoming extremely difficult to include all the info I wanted in only 8-9 caption cards.

Late to the party, but my problem is with regular anti spin flowers (maintaining split time). Almost every time I end up in same time. Any advice?

I think drex gets buffer in each video lately. Thank you for this! I’ve been trying to polish mine for years it’s hard to not get an extra petal in there.
