Dave, I’m a theistic agnostic who has followed you for years. (And yes, I’m one of the “kiddos” that discovered you here on YT when I was 21; I’m now 24.) I loved what you said about how one’s moral code is inherently spiritual, no matter what set of faith beliefs (or lack thereof) it comes from. Your principles are applicable to everyone, not just Christians. Also, you have the right to express your beliefs through your work since this is still the United States!!! If the haters don’t like it, they don’t have to view your content! Thanks to you, I have a plan for my future and have gotten rid of the victim, “little guy can’t get ahead” mentality you mentioned here. Way back in 2011 I was a tech entrepreneur, it was a *very wild ride* from zero to hero aaaaand back to zero and below. As soon as I could stand up I went to work at a small bodega pushing boxes around. Then I got a better job, so on and so forth. There's no shame, everyone should understand that, even if you have a degree, and you "acted rich", you can pull yourself back up if you humble yourself. Your best video yet Dave! Preaching the truth without really even preaching at all. What a respectable man! I’m with you, Jesus is awesome. People think that being Christian means cramming the Bible in someone’s ears and never messing up. The church isn’t full of saints, it’s full of sinners at the doctor. Us Christians just want others to experience the joy we’ve found. And boy what a joyous ride it is! You do an awesome job of fitting Christ into your message and still getting people to stick around to hear it. Love what you do!

Dave Ramsey honestly doesn’t think credit cards are all bad, but he preaches not using them because he knows MOST people don’t have the discipline to use them properly. So it’s better to just not have them at all.

We love our credit card. We don’t buy any extra because of it and use the point perks to roll into the debt we have. It consolidates the money going out and always gets paid off. Never paid interest on it. Has skyrocketed my credit score and maintains it. As soon as I call them up and cancel it I loose points on my credit score... no thank you!

I'm a Christian and your videos happen to appear on my KZitem feed. I've never searched anything to do with finances/budgeting etc the day after I found your videos my husband went to church (I'm at home sick) and what was said was about 10 year plans, your walk with God, your financial plans etc needless to say I believe this was from God giving my husband and I a wake up call. Also before this happened I could never talk to my husband by about finances etc but now it's all we talk about. Thank you for your videos!

Great advice Dave. Also I wanted to mention, and you've said it before, that taking money out of your retirement plan doesn't usually provide you with the level of pain necessary to change your lifestyle and spending habits for good. There was not any pain in earning/saving that money because it was such a small amount or matched over time. Most people go back in debt when taking short cuts. Take his advice, it's really simple and is stuff we all should have learned in high school if not taught by our parents

I believe a stable household is the key to a child's success. My parents were never married, but at no time during my childhood was I unaware of the rules. I knew I was expected to go to school, get the grades, get a career, be independent. My dad isn't particularly religious, but as a child he told me if went on welfare, he would disown me. He loved me and made sure i knew it. Stability, love and good values are what matter.

People really need to learn that you don't have to agree with 100% of everything someone says to get some benefit from listening to them (in general). I'm pretty liberal and don't follow any specific religion - I learn things from people with different views than me all the time. My brothers and sisters and I are millionaires. We are headed into our sixties and none of us have had "high income" jobs. Two teachers, two nurses, an Army officer, and a business owner. We saved and invested, and lived on what we made. We invested "found money." We were taught there's budgeted money; what you earn and live on. And there's "found money." The money you didn't count on or budget for your day to day; tax returns, gifts, rebates, stimulus checks, and so on. I save and invest 10%, and all found money. Time does the rest. Daves right, it's a behavior, not a knowledge base. I help others start investing and I find that seeing progress fuels progress. When you see the debt dropping and the investment account growing it makes you want to do more! Thanks, Dave. This channel will make all the difference in some people's lives.

@Somewhere Down The Road You don't have to follow either the Bible or any religion to know that Dave Ramsey's principles of *saving* are sound. His *investment ideas* ? That's a different matter, and I disagree with some of them, such as his absolute refusal to take on *any* debt. Debt, like alcohol, by itself is not inherently good or bad. It all depends on how you use it.

@@ArmageddonIsHere Yep and I'm sure that Dave himself knows that not all debt is bad. However, very few people have the discipline and the knowledge to use debt to their advantage.
