@UnitedLoyalist
15 күн бұрын
Well. I don't get the hate on Anthony. I'd rather put it this way! From chasing an already unconvincing Sancho from BVB who couldn't even lace a Kagawa or Mhikitaryan boot for 3 years and finally making the signing that got OGS sacked to finally seeing a transfer window where an already mediocre Sancho who couldn't even hack it in the national team, no more than 20 goal involvements in 3.5 years was loaned out with an obligation to buy on a "take it or leave it loose-loose-win" situation against united for a mediocre 1/4 return on a player that we had no business Pershing in the 1st place. I wasn't entirely a fan of Mou wanting certain players like Perisic, albeit because he couldn't hlget his 1st choices. However, I got his point that these overhyped BS young English players and overpaid "superstar" hype before they even showed their mettle will never make clubs freat

Losing Fergie AND David Gill at the same time was just something the club didn't plan for well at all. There was no one even close to their level to come and replace them and then the Glazers spent 10 years flailing around with no vision or plan to achieve keeping the club battling for the PL trophy that a club of this size and pedigree should be doing. Having the likes of Omar Berrada, Dan Ashworth, Jason Wilcox & Christopher Vivell behind the scenes we're in very safe hands now. Their recruitment this summer is like the United of old investing in youth & all that tackle. We're signing players for far more reasonable fees now whereas previously we've pissed so much money up the wall on players we shouldn't of signed cos those pricks the Glazers, Ed Woodward, Richard Arnold & John Murtough didn't have a clue what they were doing. Things can only improve from here on in why cos we've finally got proper footballing people in place within the club that know what they're doing that's the key to all success having competent people

Firstly I would like to say thank you for such and in-depth and factual video it’s a breath of fresh air. I was having this conversation with my friends before Pogba came back to United we needed to invest SMARTLY in more youth talent and give them the time and patience to develop properly in a productive environment. When UTD were splashing the cash on all these big names aswell a younger talent it was exciting but it felt like all of those signings were just in it for the money😔. You could visibly see the soul, determination and never say die attitude had disappeared from old Trafford after Fergie retired. Hopefully now we can turn the page and almost use our old model/ Real Madrid’s new model and sign some hungry youngsters who are not demanding astronomical wages who want to play, get better and ultimately WIN. The thing the Fergie era did really well was to vet the players thoroughly before signing them. I read somewhere before they signed chicharito they met his family, they vetted his lifestyle and asked his previous managers what his attitude was like on and off the pitch. All of these factors contributed to why Utd were so successful. Hopefully Utd can get back to this and really compete and embody the values I have grown up on watching Utd from the 90’s. I know football has changed a lot but the biggest pitfall has definitely been the young talent getting too much too soon. I’m excited for some of the new young signing we have made in chido Obi, and Sekou Kone. Garnacho, Kobbee, Hojlund and Amad are some of the more recent successes we have started to see come to fruition long may it continue. My only criticism of Utd in terms of transfers atm is making sure, they are staying up to date with the young talent, as much as Chelsea are a shambles I think they may have some gems in the pipeline in Estavao Willian and Kendry Páez although there wont be another CR7 I’m longing for us to sign someone like that again who can get us off our seats with skills, trickery, speed and affecting the game every time they are on the pitch. I know this all comes with time and a bit of luck but I’m here for the Utd resurgence! 🔴🔝

Great video 👏 hopefully we're finally back on the right track. I think we're in a good place - players like Maguire, Evans, Lindelof, Casemiro and Eriksen will provide experience right now, even if they're not here for the long term. Then the likes of Onana, Martinez, De Ligt, Shaw, Bruno, Rashford can carry this forward. We know with players like Martinez, Ugarte, Mount, Bruno, Garnacho - they are going to fight for this team. Exciting young talents like Yoro, Ugarte, Mainoo, Amad, Garnacho, Højlund and Zirkzee can hopefully grow and push United towards success in the coming seasons. However, as always, a lot will come down to the manager and his tactics. Erik has to find the right balance with this team. With Onana, Martinez, De Ligt, Yoro, Mazraoui, Shaw, Mainoo etc. we should be much more comfortable in possession, keeping the ball, controlling games, passing out from the back. I am concerned we don't have someone in midfield to run the game like a Kroos/Jorginho/Rodri/Busquets/De Jong type. I think Mainoo has the technical ability to do that, but what his best position is I'm not sure. At the moment he is not getting on the ball enough and playing more like an no.8. Ugarte under pressure in the no.6 position is a worry. When we're on the attack or pressing high, we need to get our distances and positioning right. The back line has to press up and condense the space. And we can't over commit players forward. The no.6 - Ugarte or Casemiro - has to sit centrally. And the balance has to be right with the other midfielder (Mainoo/Mount/Eriksen) and full-backs. If Mainoo pushes forward in support, along with one of the full-backs, we're leaving ourselves exposed. The opposite full-back has to tuck in at least. The likes of City, Arsenal and now Chelsea have their system with the front 3 plus two midfielders attacking the box. Then the defensive midfielder and full-backs support from deeper, maybe inverting into midfield, to provide a solid rest defence. Ten Hag has to get that right. With Ajax in 18/19 he had a front 4, with two 6's in De Jong and Schone, with the full-backs providing the support. In 21/22, again he had a front 4, with Alvarez as the no.6, Blind staying slightly deeper and helping in build-up, with Gravenberch and Mazraoui making supporting runs forward. Now Erik has to find that balance at United. Are we playing with two 6's or is one more advanced as an 8 (i.e. Gravenberch)? That seems to make sense considering the profiles of Mainoo, Eriksen and Mount. But if that's the case, at least one or both the full-backs need to be less attack-minded. United had problems conceding goals because of our ever-changing back 4, and the confusion with our pressing and positional play (rest defence) in the middle of the pitch i.e. the two midfielders and full-backs. We have to be better and controlling games and sustaining attacks. Going forward, the answer to our lack of goals I don't think is throwing more players forward. If anything it might need to be less. We have the front 4 of Rashford/Garnacho, Amad/Antony, Bruno/Mount and Højlund/Zirkzee. Ugarte/Casemiro need to sit and shield the two centre-backs. Then one other, possibly two at most, need to push forward into the final third. This is where the balance comes in. If Mazraoui makes a run beyond Amad/Antony, then maybe Mainoo and Shaw sit. If Shaw gets on the overlap or Mainoo breaks into the box, the other covers and Mazraoui tucks into midfield. If ten Hag doesn't find the right balance, we will continue to have basketball matches and we'll struggle to get Champions League football again

I can only imagine what Sam would say if the Glasers were still in charge. The Glasers were created by man. They evolved. They took dividents. There are many copies. And they have a plan?
