@@discountjuicers I saw the review on that and might add it to the arsenal. I have a breville juicer, omega juicer, vevor oil press. The breville is great for high liquid fruits and vegetables. The omega is good for low moisture. The vevor makes sure I get as much juice out of the pulp. It’s a lot of work but worth it. I then pour it into a soda stream to add carbonization. Then into a vevor slushy machine. The sugars have a great pop with the carbon. The slushy is a bonus. I know it adds a lot of air. It taste so good. Make sure you add more fruits than vegetables for the mixture to freeze. Brix meter above 12. Delicious anytime treat!!!!

Hi, thank you for the new video. I have a different question for you, and I hope you can help. What is the best way with a slow juicer to extract the most juice from mushy apples? Which juicer is the best for that? I could also use the current method you used for watermelon, but I'm interested in how to get the most out of a slow juicer from very soft fruits like mealy apples.
@discountjuicers
2 ай бұрын
There is basically NO WAY. Slow juicers dont like softer fruits. the best way to do it is to put the apple thru the slow juicer to mush it up, then take the pulp (and juice) which is super pulpy anyway into an Alexas bag, that I show in this episode: www.alexasbags.com/ and squeeze the juice out. Slow juicers are the WORST style juicer for trying to extract juice from mushy apples. The BEST juicer is a pure juicer, but that is $2k. Honestly, it would be best to vacuum blend the apples and then use an alexas bag, its a better process for softer items, that slow juicers cant handle too well.

@@discountjuicers Thank you for the reply. My fingers are in pain because I was doing that for 4-5 hours today with batch-juicing apples 😅 Not alexa bags yet, just some stockings of my sister. In hungary we don't have Alexa bag but I ordered similar ones locally, waiting for them to arrive tomorrow. Also, I was thinking about buying the fruit press from vevor (stainless steel version, 6L/1.6 gal). It's around 70 USD with coupons and stuff like that. By the way, do you think it would be possible to use vacuum cups/tops( that you use on your jars), on a regular blender as well? They usually have a little hole on top where we could suck the air out.

@@discountjuicers Thank John :) Fascinating article and i would have definitely done it but while reading the article I got curious about how much it costs here in Hungary for a vacuum blender...and I was surprised because it's not that pricey and looks decent with 28000rpm, 8 titan blades and of course vacuuming. It's called Sencor SBU 787 (Japanese). Very similar to the one you tested many years ago (40 USD from ebay), but an upgraded model with 4-year warranty. Hello, im completely new to juicing. Im looking for an all stainless steele/titanium slow juicer (cold press) but im not sure if cold press is the best option, most say it is but ive just started reserching and trying to figure this stuff out. I want to be cautious around microplastics (each to there own) but for me, that's something im aware of. I dont mind if it's more cleaning, more time and maintenance. i just want good quality juice without the microplastics. Can you or anyone with great juicer knowledge point me in the right direction. Besides this juicer, i want (in my head), what is the go-to for the at home, slow (cold press?) juicer that makes great quality juice and "is" plastic? Are there any new juicers out there that take the trophy for the adverage home juicer. I plan on juice prepping for days ahead, so i really want to get good quality juice that will keep without spending $15,000. Im not even looking to spend $1000, if it can be accomplished. I plan on juicing (mostly) fruits, so dont hate me. Just know i wont be juicing many vegetables at all if that helps narrow down what i need. Thanks guys and goodluck out there.

I wish there was an all stainless steel juicer I can recommend below $1000, but there is not. Every juicer has its own set of pros and cons, so you will have to determine which one is the best for you. Honestly, if you are juicing MOSTLY fruits, you would be best to get the PURE Juicer, or do vacuum juicing, since SLOW juicers are notorious for not juicing fruits that have a softer texture well. See kzitem.info/news/bejne/t6eI3Z-Vnaabg3Y

@discountjuicers Thank you for the recommendation. I will study more to grasp a better detailed conclusion of what I want. I saw a man who thought similar to microplastics. He was able to get a stainless container, so I'll see about possibly modifying a juicer and all that good stuff. I just keep hearing, the slower the better because it's less oxidation, so the juice is better quality. Any thoughts?
@greglovelace246

@@discountjuicersI've come to the conclusion, with more study, that vacuum blending may be my way to go with fruits in general. Plus, i can get aftermarket metal blending containers for a less chance of micro plastics. One question: Why would using the mesh bag to get rid of the pulp be a positive? Is it just preference?

I am saying it is better to VACCUM blend and strain with Alexa's bag than using a Juicer in terms of NUTRITION and YIELD. The secret is vacuum blending. I will say SLOW JUICING is better than using a traditional (non-vacuum blender). However, vacuum juicing is a PROCESS, and MORE work than say using a Nama J2. Of course I do recommend VACUUM blending instead of juicing fruits, (or just eat them whole). I would say it is BETTER to juice leafy greens, and other vegetables than to blend them.

I would encourage you to remove the oxygen from the juice and pull oxgyen out of the headspace from your containers before freezing, to preserve more nutrition. Also when you thaw it, thaw it under vacuum to prevent oxygen content. I personally feel that is too much work, and I just store my juices for up to 7 days in my fridge by removing the dissolved oxygen and oxgen out of the headspace of the juice.

You make an excellent point, that regular blenders have been working all these years, and whats wrong with them? Its like many things in life, things get better. BLOCKBUSTER video stores were great where you could RENT VHS and the DVD's to watch movies, until Netflix came out and Blockbuster went out of business. Netflix was simply a better delivery system to watch movies, etc. That is like vacuum blending, which is a BETTER way to blend and ONE DAY (in a long time) it will make traditional blending obsolete in all but a few areas when ADDING oxygen into the blended drink is considered a good thing (think cocktails). If you dont want to embrace new technology, that is fine, but I want people to be aware about it. That being said, Im not here "just to sell you something". YOU CAN CONVERT your current blender into a vacuum blender if you are handy, I even show people how: kzitem.info/news/bejne/ko-X3qavcndjlWU that I posted in 2017! That being said, if you dont care about your health and maximizing the nutrients when you blend, you can continue to use a traditional blender, no doubt about it, they work, but vacuum blending as proven by science is better.
