I think the whole area is powerful, and that walking on the land is the key to discovering that.

My wife and I travel to Sedona several times a year. When it's summer in Phoenix, it's 115°F+! Going to Sedona, it's cooler, maybe not so much, but it's beautiful! There's an energy in Sedona I can't explain. Going there is a life changing experience. There is so much to do AND SEE!

I lived in Phoenix for five years before moving to California, and in those five years, I had discovered and visited Sedona at least a couple times a year. I had never known such a beautiful place to have such a calming and profound personal affect on me. I think when you just take out all of the tourism (cause yes it's there) and discover it for yourself, it's really something else. Can't wait to get back.

I lived in Sedona from 1975 to 1980, then to Phoenix and often visit Sedona still. For over 30 years I've tried to get close to Cathedral Rock and can't. I break down in tears and have to leave. I go to Red Rock Crossing, can make it make a 5 minute hike towards Cathedral but that's it, I break down crying, can't breath and have to leave. As a boy in Tennessee in the 1950s a picture of Cathedral was on a paper place mat at a road side restuarant I went to once. I Knew what that place was

In times of great strife, which especially are combined with even greater awakening of mind, heart & spirit the cornerstones of global energy flow, increase in magnitude due to the heightened amount of physical and spiritual activity cycling through the system, thus these anchor points take on an extreme vortex of movement and proceedings, that overtly affects any and all individuals within close proximity of this contact.

@dinomagic Some people can not breath due to the high energy is giving them so much energy it is un-needed. Though it feels odd. Experienced this myself. The energy healing is usually at a higher stage of development when it does this, cant breath thing. The first healings are usually very mild, feel like love and happiness, later on they somewhat hurt or feel odd like, not being able (or not having to take in breath) Breath is not AIR, its energy.. When you have enough energy, no need to breath

The Buddhists that funded (in a large part if not all) spent thousands; in donations, by and large. Meanwhile, outside of Payson, AZ, , near the edge of the Dakini Valley, there is/was, a dog hoarding situation that They were reaposible for; ("rescues from Katrina and Thailand, mostly. I had first - hand experience at this hoard. I did not know the situation before I traveled across the U.S to the shelter. They were not honest about the place and it's purpose. Inadequate shelter for the dogs, little to no excercise and zero playtime. We volunteers were out numbered by 24-50+ dogs, Each!, often. Absolutely no vet care. But meds were used anyway by a nun with no medical training, using.psychiatric meds mainlufor ( dog-fighting rescues..to calm them). And or barbiturates, to encourage the dogs to be sleepy and docile. Medicating the poor dogs instead of working with them, and giving them excercise, training, and attention. Also, despite the occasional horrific wildfires, they had no evacuation plan and this place is Way out there. So I took steps to insure that this place was to be shut down..I received Great help from a woman at a legit, nationally-known society for animals..I wisely took pictures. (old-style camera, no cell service in the wilderness) They went under the name Tara's Babies (with a second and supposedly better, place for rescued dogs) AND the ability to place the dog with their orignal or new owners. The place in AZ is inaccessible to the general public. There is flooding, making driving Any vehicle impossible). I was updated a few years back that the dogs were surrendered to the legit Society for animals and that this branch of Tara's Babies would be shut down. This Buddhist sect would send a member out there as a sort of "reprimand", so these were not folks who necessarily even Liked dogs. Most had no experience with working with dogs. Did a portion of the money meant for the Dakini Valley (AZ) shelter get lost on the way there? Were the DONATIONS then "rescued" by the sect, based in Sedona, who had a Huge hand in creating the Stupa in Sedona? I had to pay for my ride away. No problem except that my pay at the shelter was a roof and food. So I worked it off at a house where a trio of nuns lived. No problem.I was also Required to attend the opening of the Stupa. Hundreds attended. Many to see the Big Khauna who would bless you,, give you a word or rwo of advice and , Next? The line was Enormous. Were these folks who donated money not knowing about the much needier dog-hoard? The sect paid Thousands to fund the Stupa. I felt sick. It was all darkness, hypocrisy, and neglect, at best....I was told the dogs needed to suffer and die painfully(if they were in pain),for their karma. But the a different nun contradicted this by saying that dogs have no souls (bullshit) and therefore are not involved in Karma. Tara's Babies. Look into it yourself. The leader of the Arizona group.Jetsumna (spelling?)....adorned herself in jewelry, makeup and fancy clothes. She was/still is? trying to have a career as a vocalist. She rarely visited the hoard. When she did, she'd isolate herself in and maybe come out, once, wandering oh so spiritually....picking through the muck in expensive boots...among the cages (no roofs for the cages in the AZ sun btw)...tossing a rawhide chip into a cage w no regard to the conditions or number of dogs..creating fights among..multi-dog cages. I did not last long. The memories are still Very painful. But perhaps I was the person who Needed to see the situation..I am not a Buddhist, I liked the idea they sold me, of working and living w the dogs . To help them. To find new homes for them... rehabilitate the abused.....when you are in Sedona, take a moment to send good thoughts or pray to the god or goddess of your choice, for these wonderful dogs. For them to have found a kind, Forever Home...better yet, hope the Katrina rescues there got their original owners back! Something to be AWARE of while you are enjoying and having amazing experiences in Sedona. If you visit the Stupa, place some sort of dog symbol on it, in remembrance of those dogs and what they endured. I did what I could to stop it. I wish Id had the money to get them all out myself. I cannot afford to give a dog proper care myself, unfortunately. I travel. So, as much as Id like to have Many animals, I dont get them. Take care of our animal friends....ALL beings are connected. ✌

Keep your sacred crystals in your rishi's and your Buddha's out of it. Everything you're experiencing is indigenous and should not be bastardized but other cultures. It's sad but every time I say it it is truth the Europeans traded their culture for their Sciences and Technologies which is why they try to seek other cultures and adopt.

I grew up around Sedona, there is no special "energy" there. It's just a bunch of fruit loops and the people who prey on them for financial gain. However, it is quite beautiful which can be an eye opening experience for city people. As for Pink Jeep tours, the roads all the jeep tours use are public/forest service roads that anyone can go on. Some require a 4x4, some don't. Don't let yourself be robbed by the Sedona Jeep tours.
