This is only a suggestion, and I don't think ANYONE could replicate the abfab voice of Judith and The Seekers,; but do you think Susan Boyle would do a favourable rendition of The Carnival Is Over? I really would love to see and hear Susan sing this thought-provoking song; wouldn't you? They both - Judith and Susan - have the 'same sort of singing voice'; don't they? If you, or anyone has any idea how to make this happen, please let me know.

My husband passed some six years ago and this particular song brought us comfort when he learnt his illness was incurable. We often played it as we sat cuddled in together. We both wanted the world to stop revolving but that was sheer fantasy and wishful thinking. We were blessed with four more months together and I cannot say how often we played this song. Of course, I still miss my husband more than words can express, however, I have my memories and this beautiful song. John Anderson. Only 70? Just a young fellah, making your way through life. We share the same heart-throb! What a sound she made! What a sound they made! What superb harmony they all made!. I'm a still working, still travelling, still blowing, still jazzing, old git of a sax player, and she still touches all the right buttons for me. Think she was a jazz singer at heart & possibly returned to jazz when the Pop Well ran dry. Not to put too fine a point on it, I'd shave off my beard for Judith. Bet she hasn't aged a month since then even if I am close to 128 yrs old.. I suppose that I exaggerate a bit but not a lot. Best of everything to you.

I agree. My Brother and I, born August 1950, (twins), have had a fortunate life. Our Grandkids not so. BUT, despite their modern influences, we are their Rock, their Guides, their steady platform, we Grandparents are their FAMILY, they are our FAMILY. A Grandparents house is their Villiage, our rooms are the Villiage Square, where the children gather, play, enjoy...as we Grandparents, enjoy our Grandchildren with complete, total LOVE, WHAT COMPLETE JOY!. We sit, look, see, enjoy, guide, nurture, LOVE, LOVE!, our Grandchildren. Yet, their Parents, Mother and Father, are never apart from our thoughts. Ever. Our Children are the light of our eyes, they are our joy, our existence. We Parents, Mother and Father, EXIST for our children. They are our life.
