I received the Serpent Game yesterday, and I've been playing and enjoying it. I do have a question about the rules. This video states that chain captures are not allowed, but the instruction booklet states that they are (and in some cases, mandatory). Is there an "official" way the game is played, or is it played both ways? I've been playing it both ways myself, but I haven't been able to determine yet which rule set --- if any --- yield a more interesting game.

Sadly my wife has a major phobia about snakes (real ones, imaginary, images etc) and would refuse to play this game. Perhaps the name could be changed to Hex (the shape of the playing grid) and the name Serpent removed. Good game though Thanks.

The Zuni name for the game is Awithlaknannai which means "stone that kills." But still - there's that snake on the artwork. Sorry.
