There aren't enough (good) reviews on C&J..which is a pitty for such a classic brand. Thanks for this.

Great video. That's exactly what I love about British shoes or more specificly C&J, nothing flashy just really consistent well made shoes. Hope to try your work someday, they do look fantastic.

Cavendish is probably the top model of CJ, they have the nicest shape ever for a tassel loafer compared to the other brands. It is true they are very heavy and they take time of wear before getting a bit softer and more confortable, very very durable and the leather (especially brown) gets more and more beautiful with wearing. The only problem I can see is CJ produces them in E fitting which allows the shoes to be shaped slim and elegant but quite tight even for who has narrow foot... Aesthetically the only "low quality " thing they have is the wide stitching on the front upper pinning the leather, sometimes it looks just a thread passing through holes instead of tightening up for real... a part that they still worth the price

Great video, as ever. I will now say, 'I love the smell of quality leather in the morning'! I have one pair of C & J shoes: a brown derby with a subtle apron (called 'Talbot') in a UK 10 E width. I do find them a little narrow as I think I'm between UK 10 F - 10 G width. I've noticed C & J do a lot of their shoes in the E width. I guess the last has a lot to do with fit too.... Thanks again. Regards Tony
