Hi Liz, you are absolutely right about good quality items. I both my first sewing machine myself when I was about 19 years old. It lasted over 30 years and the one I now have is already 20 years and its still good. Made in Germany 😊. My hobbies are enjoyable but also verry useful. I sew knit and do crochet. I love it verry much .and my clothes are only a fraction off the cost of buying them into a store. And they are unique and that I like the most.❤ Greetings 💟🌷🇾🇪

Since I live a slow, simple, sustainable lifestyle myself, I am confused over one thing in your video. Why did you buy such a large home for just yourself? This seems to go against all your beliefs. I am not trying to be rude, I just don't understand your decision.

Don't worry, there is nothing wrong with asking 😊 The most important reason is probably because I would like to start a family at some point. And taking that into account, the house isn't even that large - at 100 sqm / 1077 sqft it's one of the smallest in the area. It is perfect for 2 people, still suitable with one child but as soon as we'd have two children we'd actually have to move.

Your cottage is lovely. How wise it was for you to invest in owning a home of your own at such a young age. I love how slow living combats consumerism.

Hello Liz, such good advice I thrift clothing and household items as well and I love my tea and home brewed coffee I think I may be the only person on the planet who has never been to a Starbucks! As a funny side note my real waste of fuel were two trips to try to find a simple pair of socks that are not so very tight so back to the store I went to return them twice! (and I am a rather slim gentleman. 😡😄) Looking forward to your next post. Cheers.

Wait wait...what? You are not a witch?! Unsubscribe from your channel...bye!😅😜 To be honest with you I wasn't curious of how you bought your beautiful house ( maybe I am the only one that I wasn't thinking about that 🙃), I am just happy for you and you deserve it 100%! 😉❤ But thank you for sharing with us how you did it and for giving these extra useful advices for people that they want to do something similar! Brewing my own coffee, cooking (big yes to fresh salads), buying only what I need/use saves me a lot of money every year for sure! I think we need at some point a medieval larp video from you, now that we know that this is one of your hobbies! 😁

Bye! Was nice to meet you! 😜😂😂😂 The big unexpected reveal after 10 months of posting videos 🙈 Thanks for your kind words ❤️ There were so many people who were really curious though and even more who just assumed I bought the house with someone else and wondered who that mystery boyfriend is 😂 I would love to make a LARP video but it's so difficult as I can't film during these events. We even turn off our phones and use no technology at all.

@@livelikeliz 10 months already (time flies so fast) and soon you will be in your first year, by the way congrats for 4k subs!😁👍 Oh boy, a secret boyfriend 😅, yeah my imagination can't go that far 😜and this is why I am not trying to understand about how other people are thinking. If I can make a guess is that they can't believe a young woman like you can do this kind of stuff by herself (this is another big hot topic😅). Makes sense, maybe you can show at some point your collection or what you use in these events! 😉

@@trsg Thanks! 😊❤ So excited about the 4k - time to think about a 5k special! 😄 I'll try to find a way to show something LARP-themed at some point. The tent will definitely make an appearance at some point because it's so cool and vintage-y 😊

Is the remodeling of your cottage all done? I must have missed the video of the finished project tour. The outside looks great, a fantastic accomplishment. One of the smartest things I ever did ( and there are not many ) was to have money taken out of my paycheck each payday and put into a safe savings account. In this way I didn't miss it and extra money, beside my pension checks, certainly has helped out in my retirement years. As I'm sure you know, saving now will benefit you tremendously in the future. All the rest of your tips add to your financial security. Thank you I love your videos.

Thank you for sharing this video with us, and i know you would not have done this video without thought, however i do feel sad that people have asked you such a personal question, it seems in my view non of there business, and i find that sad, i know you chose to share your life but some people neeed to exercise some manners.

Thank you so much for watching! ❤️ I get where you are coming from, but I do understand why people would ask this. Buying real estate has become so much more challenging in recent years and I get that people would ask for all the advice they can get. So I don't mind sharing info if it helps someone.
