@@nateg2585 Welp, I ended up blowing up my account. More than once, actually...lol Bottom line was I didn't know what I didn't know, and it cost me dearly. But no worries. I went into this knowing setbacks are part of the game. I took some time out to rethink my approach. I spent months learning what I was doing wrong, and I'm just to the point where I feel I'm ready to give it another go....My approach is totally different now. No Margin Buying! Better Risk Management, A Stronger Support System, and a Much Smaller Scale. One other thing, I think I was too fixated on money before...Through immersing myself in proper learning, I think I've developed a real love of technical trading that I didn't have before. I now understand how difficult it really is and the level of dedication it requires. I think the fact that I'm still passionate about it after nasty losses tell me that this is something that I'm supposed to be doing. We shall see. :-)

Finding the best daily picks is half of the rent! Indicator-based, pattern-based, a combination of both ... whatever works is the second half. Having your emotions in check is the biggest challenge! Having a solid, working strategy gives confidence staying in a trade (even with a pullback, temp consolidation), tighten the stop. In case of pullbacks pattern like ABCD are working great. I tighten my stop after the price is rising further. Trade smart and don't be greedy!

Hi Ross! first off I cant thank you enough for spending the time to make these videos for us all to learn. I've been utilizing them for several months now and have a small account of my own going. However the main problem I have experienced so far is ,as you say, finding and identifying the right stocks in which to trade. I would really like to become a member but I would like to prove myself profitable on my live account and grow my small account before I make the investment. Is there some good and affordable scanning software you could point in my direction or is your scanner available for purchase? Any guidance you have would be greatly appreciated! and thanks again!!

Ross, thank you for these tips. So I'm listening to you as you review the day's performance on various stocks. I sit here and say it's easy to look at and understand after all is said and done. BUT...what about in the heat of the moment when you think this is an active stock going up or squeezing up and it does the exact opposite and goes down. Nothing more frustrating knowing I'm losing money. How do you know when to get out? How can you tell its about to go down? Or better yet, after the first pullback you invest only to have it drop. Thank you for all your input and advice! I'm trying. I guess to say that I even have some idea of a question to ask means I'm learning from you.

I figured this out before I saw this video. Totally agree this is the most profitable strategy if it goes right. You should focus a bit on how it can go very wrong if you enter too late in the cycle and get stuck in a giant downdraft however. Also, some low quality gappers do a lot in the premarket and just do nothing but die in regular hours. You don't want to be buying those at the highs of the regular hours open. Lots of newbies aren't facile enough with setting conditional stop market orders (main hours only) to GTFO and handle big down moves.

Here's my advice for newbies - or on the question of getting out of a losing trade: just cut it. you can always buy back in (depending on your account). Sometimes stocks do a micro-pullback, sometimes they do a sell-off - if you cannot stomach the loss of a nickel per share, cut at 2c. Did you notice that a stock might drop 5 - 7c before it pushes up 10 - 15c? Not all of them, though! There are many, many factors that only experience can tell you. How do you know when to get out? Before it hurts. Before it's "too much". Keep your eyes on the chart and your finger on the Sell hotkeys. If you don't know the difference between a trailing stop and all that, study more. Learn it in the paper platform - just watch the chart. watch the ladder. watch the volume. Ross doesn't teach everything everywhere all at once! There is so much to learn. Ross's videos are not for brand-newbies, necessarily - there is a fair amount of work that goes into this. Don't risk your cash dollars on a whim - educate yourself before you risk it, and you will be trading like a Warrior in no time!

Hi Ross, I’ve been watching your vids and I’m appreciative of your teaching style and the level of detail you provide. Are you still doing the morning show? One question I have is why scalpers, especially those relatively new to trading, should accept ANY downside risk on positions? It seems to me that since the goal is to get in and out quickly, if the stock doesn’t move in the expected direction, getting out at an effective break even, is fine. So my question is why not set the stop loss SUPER tight? Pennies even. I get that the stock may have a mini pull back if you get the timing wrong on the initial entry, but it seems like you just move on and get it right on the next entry. Seems like there is no real reason to accept much or any risk when trade commissions are basically zero for someone like me. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I started doing day trading and enrolled in your class (great class). I'm using TOS since I'm a customer of the broker. My question is knowing when to sell a stock or what indicators to look for? I bought at $2.54 per share. The stock went up to $2.71 which was short of my 10% profit goal - I started seeing the price drop quickly. I began monitoring the stock and it's up to $2.90 and it's been up and down all day. I took an $85 PNL for the day. Doing this in PaperMoney. I'm still trying to understand the trends of the "gappers" from the morning. Thanks and Best Regards, Joe

"Most traders lose money" is counting 6 month category, you will find traders who are making money at a higher percentage. Then the traders who are 1-2-3 years into it are mostly profitable, because the ones who aren't are likely out of the game with a couple blown up accounts. Just a thought i got from Live Traders Jared. The 1% last many years, the 99% try and fail in 6 months or less due to poor risk management and going in guns blazing.

I've always found the stats on "failed traders" interesting, because I haven't seen it detailed anywhere who is being counted. Like you said, there are TONS of people who try trading for a few months, blow up an account or two, and call it a day. Do all of those fall into the stats? I would definitely be interested to see a breakdown of who is most successful based on R/R implemented, # of trades, length of time trading overall, etc.

Thats why till date, I’m always happy i was able to come across through a reliable trader on instagram who has been putting in so much work in helping me through my journey to financial freedom and i will also advice beginners who are trying to get involved in this, to make sure they not only make research but if they eventually find it interesting , they shouldn’t just jump into it but ensure they get a professional trader who knows the in and outs of the cryptomarket to help them out and you surely wont regret it

In a 3 year span of trading, not day trading but just trading, I lost $20-30K in 2 1/2 years just to make $150K back in the last 6-8 months. Did I learn something? Maybe, I know I learnt to be more cautious and patient when picking my bets, regardless of indicators and pumpers. Minimizing risk had really nothing to do with how my account went from losing to winning, I use the same strategy on the same assets........ It had to do with patience and with carefully identifying when and where to place those bets. PATIENCE is key !!!

Several things. One, stay the hell away from low float stocks until. You been doing it a couple months. Remember the smaller the float the more volatile the stock. 2, Start with swing tradeing. It will give you a longer term trade to get comfterable with the swings. 3. Start with stocks that move 20 to 50 cents a hour instead of a min or two.

17:11 I think more trades smaller position sizes is better for beginners. If a beginner doesn't take their stop loss on their 1,000 share position that is say 2,000$ market value they could lose 5-10-20% of that 2000$ costing them 400$. If their account is say 4000$ that's a 10% chunk of their account lost. with 250$, A beginner could be as stupid as they want and losing 10% would only be a 25$ loss 20% being 50%. It also gives the beginner more experience with trading. 8 trades a day that's 40 a week compared to just doing 5 a week. In a month the small position trader traded 160 times compared to the 20 time 1 per day person. Mistakes cost less too, a 1 or 2% stop loss would only be 2.5/5$.

The video was easy to understand. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and strategy. I have a question about the PDT rule. If I am not a US resident but open an account with a US based broker such as Interactive brokers will I still have to adhere to the PDT rule? I am very grateful for the content Thank you!
@DaytradeWarrior
2 жыл бұрын
Yes you'd be trading within the PDT rule. As you may know the United States has what's called the Pattern Day Trader (PDT) Rule. That means you need a minimum of $25,000 cash balance in your broker account in order to day trade more than 3x in a 5 day period. Since most traders take 3-5 trades per day, they are considered Pattern Day Traders. You can see some examples and in-depth explanation here: www.warriortrading.com/pattern-day-trader-rule/ and here kzitem.info/news/bejne/pHqG3nh5hnp-ZGU Many of our new students don't have $25k. You can open a brokerage with as little as $500 at some places. Offshore brokerage CME Group is one of these brokers. TradeZero (non-U.S. students only, not eligible for Canadian students) requires a minimum of $1,000 to qualify for our rebate program ( www.warriortrading.com/tradezero-broker-rebate-program/ ) and Lightspeed requires $25,000 ( www.warriortrading.com/lightspeed-broker-rebate-program/ ). And of course, you have the option of a cash account at a US brokerage! Here's a helpful place to go to explore your options further: www.warriortrading.com/how-to-day-trade-without-25k/ I hope that makes more sense!
