Most of the imagery in the Simpsons episode is taken from the Gary Oldman version, especially Burns' butt-shaped hairstyle and his independently moving shadow. But overall it's kind of a mishmash of different vampire movies - like, Bart and his friends outside Lisa's window is straight out of The Lost Boys. That's half the fun of The Simpsons in its prime. The more movies you see, the more you realize the sheer depth of pop culture it spoofed 😁

Bad Dream House is less Poltergeist and more Amityville Horror, though it's really aimed at haunted house stuff in general, IMHO. And a bit of a shame you ended where you did - Treehouse of Horror 5 I think is universally considered the very best one. Not that the previous four were bad, of course, just that it's definitely the best balance of scary/funny, the jokes are all on point, and remain funny even decades later. Strangely, Treehouse 4 is Uter's first appearance. Premiered in a non-canon Halloween special. And yes, you should watch the movies they're parodying. They're wonderful, though oddly the Dracula segment is really only parodying a few of the visual elements of Coppolla's Dracula - the rest is general vampire parody plus some Lost Boys/Salem's Lot stuff.

Various different Twilight Zone episodes are being goofed on here. I think the Krusty The Clown doll was more "Talking Tina" than "Chucky."

Wow seeing this consecutively is unreal. Like going back in time to when they aired being weird I’ve only seen less than a quarter of these.

The Dracula one also referenced Stephen King's "Salem's Lot" when vampire Bart flew/hovered outside of Lisa's window. For a made-for-tv movie adaption from 1979, I actually found it scary.

Clown without pity is one of my favorites out of the treehouse of horrors. And the voice of the lawyer is the late Phil Hartman
