There's no way that the US would allow a tourist visa for 9 years 😂 also why would anyone ship anything to a hotel on a vacation? Another red flag
@CarlosEBernal
6 күн бұрын
There is only one situation to do just that. When traveling the "Pan American Highway" from Alaska to Argentina one has to drive thru Nicaragua, a country that does not allow "Drones" into the country. So, road travelers have to ship the prohibited items from Honduras to a hotel in Costa Rica ( vice-versa) via FedEx, DHL, or UPS
@ShaggyRogers1
2 күн бұрын
It isn't unheard of for shipping costs to be less than the equivalent to have a bag checked, and is actually more secure than flying. However, there is no such thing as a tourist visa that lasts multiple years.

I am addicted to these shows and I now have a deeper appreciation for Custom and Border Agents. From what I see it is foolish to try to bring drugs or other contraband into a country, use false documents or just do anything illegal. I do have a question, when a passenger's visa is cancelled, they are denied entry and sent on the next flight back to their country. What happens if they can't buy a return ticket, etc. Who pays for the repatriation of the individual? Are airlines required to take them back?
@elgoogfigas7013
6 күн бұрын
I think the immigration/customs agency has a budget for it. Maybe the airline gives them a discount on the cost. Imagine the regular passengers who might get bumped if the seats are sold out. I don’t know for sure, but sending them back seems cheaper than detaining them indefinitely. And many of these people have insufficient funds for returning. Maybe they charge the government of the country they are returning to, then that country puts a lien on the individual. Just guessing with logic solutions.

I’ve watched several of these shows. I appreciate how difficult the task is for the AU officers, but so many times I’ve watched non-English speaking people get tripped up because of the language barrier. So often Asian people say “yes” to the officers when they should say no. Asian cultures have a natural bias towards being agreeable as a default setting. So when they say “yes” to “do you understand?” It seems like they really do not understand the question nor the gravity of answering incorrectly. It often looks like simple language issues rather than devious tactics….especially when they try to bring so much packaged food with them. But it’s hard to tell as viewer what really happened as this show is heavily edited. I’m a native english speaker and sometimes I have trouble with what the Australian officers are asking!

I feel bad for the American student Louis. It is a sad shame when supposed "christian" colleges charge ridiculously high tuition, it causes many lower income students to have to drop out or not be able to attend to begin with! If I could get word to him, I would seriously suggest that he do a lot of investigating into the founder of the college he was attending and all churches associated with them! Someone needs to help him to be able to discern between sheep and wolves. I would suggest that he speak to an advisor to help him with what direction he should take and what direction that he feels that God is leading him in.

Actually it's not as simple as you stated the issue. He went to Australia with a Working Visa for a year. He left and then came back on a Tourist Visa with the intention to work (that's not allowed) He should have renewed the Working Visa or sold his car and take his belongings when the Working Visa expired. It's his responsibility to do it right. Also they can't just pull agents to escort him so he can get his stuff and sell his car.

@@chrisk7626 I didn't assumed that he came to Australia without money when he 1st entered under the Temporary Work Visa, he probably brought all his working tolls with him and purchased a car for mobility. Now when the Temporary Working Visa expired, that was the time for him to sell the car, pack his tolls and take all his belongings with him. He left Australia and returned under a Tourist Visa, and that was his mistake. He should have renewed the Working Visa before coming back. He probably didn't qualify to extended and came back as a Tourist, most likely to continue working illigaly, something he can't do as a tourist.

Why don't these officers wear masks when opening packages? Things can get into a person through inhalation causing overdose, or in the case of animals or prohibited food, deadly germs.
