People aren’t daily driving cars with these engines like McLaren F1s or Aston Martin Valkyrie’s. These track day cars need performance engines and can afford to rebuild engines. If you were a race team would you want the engine is reliable but isn’t fast enough to win a race or the engine with the best performance but needs to be rebuilt a couple times per season? Your question is ridiculous.

Cosworth? I did a wheel speed sensor for them as our first consulting engagement with them, promptly banned by Indycar. My friend Phil B did their F1 engine map editor. Herman H did the fuel gauge they use in Indycar for years. Me and Paul T did the control system for the engine test cell air conditioning to control the temperature, humidity, and pressure at the engine inlet. Dave B did the hardware for that. Back then, 30 years ago. F1 engines they were testing in the mid 90s were running at something like 17,000 rpm. Later they ran engines at over 20,000 rpm. I first heard of Cosworth in the 1970s when some rally cars were running Cosworth BDA engines. Cosworth has been part of Vickers, Ford, and Audi, and I believe they are currently independent again. So what's this bullshit about a small company?

Keeping in mind they build more internal combustion engines than anyone else in the world a problem or two will come up but nothing compared to the issues BMW or Porsche.
