This is really nice and useful, even though the price is really high for that. But i mean - if it lasts forever, why not?

I got one of these at a good price. Sad to see the company close down. Sounds like they retired. Im almost scared to use it as I only have the one roll of trifoil that came with it. Anyone else here have an alternative source for the foil? I might try and experiment with some materials. The tool will last a lifetime but the foil will not

can you use the thin Evergreen sheet styrene with this as well?

Good question. We reckon it's only really intended to be used with the soft foil sheet available from the manufacturer. It's such an expensive tool, it's probably best to be very careful using anything other than that or really, really thin plasticard sheet (like really thin!).

Scale War Machines thanks for the reply. I may go with a different one. Perhaps the RP Toolz version.

Good choice - less expensive and definitely handles plasticard of most reasonable thicknesses. See our review if interested in that tool.

I found one of these on ebay selling for $ 115.00! That's way to rich for my blood but if you've got the money and you want one more power to you! :-)

Paul McWilliams This has never been a cheap tool...it's expensive and innovative but you may find a punch and pie set for plastic card cheaper and more useful day to day. If you can afford it though it's a cool thing.

I agree it's a cool tool to have no doubt. I would love to have one my self but being on a fixed income there's no way I can afford it.

222caribou Since I'm a newbie returning to the hobby after 20 some years, the first time I heard of a rivet counter was on Coen's site. He says he's a rivet counter as far as his own work is concerned, but would never ever judge someones else's work that way. Since I'm just re-educating myself to all of the new tools, models and especially techniques, I too do not take the hobby that seriously as it's supposed to be fun and relaxing and rivet counters just try and make people take it to the next level, lol. The only hobby I take dead seriously is my real show car hobby as it's a multi award winner at many local and national car shows here in the states.

Too expensive. also doubt The brass dies won't last you a lifetime.. if you want to pay so much, better buy RPTools
