It looks great. Lots of good. Unfortunately it’s lacking a visual timer on the machine. All else a home run! I’ve got a San Remo Cube and the app is easy.

Was thinking this was odd too but more than likely I would be using a scale to time my shots anyway.
@paolocoletti3424

But can one even get a scale under the portal? It's so cramped under there as it is and I feel the real reason they went bottomles. A cup on scales with the double/single is just not going to fit I think. 😢

I got a question on this, how many back to back shots are you able to make without losing temperature, and once losing it, how much time does it take for it to ramp up again to normal?
@lamarsacoffee
Жыл бұрын
Being a double boiler, the Micra takes a while before it starts to lose temperature when pulling back to back shots. Based on Lance Hendrick's video, it can pull up to 8 back to back shots before losing temperature. During our Linea Micra event, we had 2 Micras available for audience to try, and faced no problems of it overheating too. When it starts to lose temperature, it should take no longer than 5 minutes (if not faster) for it to achieve stable brewing temperature again. Hope that answers your questions!

@@lamarsacoffee it does help!! Thank you so much for your response, and yes I just watched Lance’s video as well but he didn’t mention the time needed for it to heat up again, but your response really help! Thanks.

Probably a great machine but at that price, you'd expect to have a little bit more control over the brewing process. At least La Mar could give us control over the pre-infusion or a visual timer! Defo a deal breaker at this price point.

I believe you can control pre infusion via the app.

Just wondering how hard is the plastic on portafilter if you tamping on a hard surface? it won't brake with time?
@craignorman
Жыл бұрын
You shouldn't tamp directly onto a hard surface with the spout ever - it will be uneven and could damage it. Best to use a tamp stand
@lamarsacoffee
Жыл бұрын
Hello! We do not recommend tamping with the detachable spout on. You can tamp it without the detachable spout first and lock it in after.

Hi, I have just purchased linea micra from you guys few days ago.. well, the box is well sealed with the La Marzocco tapes and seals.. But quite frustrating is, the output of the drip tray that is supposed to connect to the plumbing output dint have the stopper bung attached to it 😓 So whenever there is waste water ended up in my drip tray will automatically drain onto my espresso bar.. pls help..

Do you need to use the app? The reason I ask is because customers generally love the machine but find the app unusable. I’d like to know before I shell out $4000.

Nice machine! The drip tray is a little too close to the porter filter,especially if using a scale. It’s a shame the porter filter attachments are plastic… not so nice!

The plastic attachements are often criticized, but they are actually a thoughtful feature as other reviewers (the swiss Kaffeemacher duo) pointed out. It helps keep the heatup time low because there is less metal to warm up. It's not a cheap trick to save some money, but a part of the concept. Yet some people will not like it. That's just the way it is.

Linea Micra owner here. The machine sucks. It's brought down by the stupid bend in the arm of their moronic chubby steam wand. Sick of it and of course La Marzocco won't do anything about it. Crap tier company Micra SUCKS

I know what you mean, because I have the machine since December. Same as you I disliked the steam wand at first, but after only a week gaining experience I had no problem using it. Also my wife uses it, and she's a regular user instead of a home barista. Just give it some time!

Regarding tech (and design), its stuck in the 70-80s. You pay allot for the logo. But it makes good coffee, and is tried and tested. A easy pass for me.
@JimmyTulip1

That's not true at all. Technically it's top notch, fastest heatup time and great temp stability. Design is what it is, it wants to look retro and so it does. Many people prefer this look, I certainly like it. You can probably get similar quality for a little less money, but not that much less.
@haknys

@@JimmyTulip1 Fastest heat up time? Lol, no. Ascaso is MUCH faster. Look at the tech, and u see why. Italians have never been on top for newest tech, and this unit is more mechanical than technical. Not saying that is a bad thing, just saying you are wrong. That should also reflect the price. But it doesn’t….because the name sells itself. Design is stuck in the 70-80s. U call it retro. Same thing, different way of marketing. 😉

It is all relative it depends on how much cash you have to spend whatever people say this machine will last for a long time could be the end game. The same applies when people buy a Porsche and can never drive the highest speed because of speed limits in most countries but if you like it and have the cash why not. In the end, we pay for something you can afford and be happy with it,
