1000 likes 👍 ! Never work in Television Again lyrics references Italian Weinstein wannabe Silvio Berlusconi. Thom’s wife is an Italian actress so this might be personal, he sounds so pissed

@@deanwolfechannel Another Radiohead spinoff you might enjoy is the most recent Thom Yorke solo record called Anima. It received a lot of critical and popular acclaim. A beautiful 20-minute short film was made featuring three songs from the album ... it's a modern dance piece featuring Thom and his wife ... the film was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. The film and/or the album would be a worthy reaction video. Thanks for all the great content!

Such an awesome Album

In "You'll never work in television again" it sounds like Thom is channeling Jeff Buckley from his 2nd unfinished album. Dingy, sleazy, slightly off beat but perfectly pitched. Just imo.

During your review on the song "The same" you mentioned that that song could've been added to the Tenet soundtrack. Then I realized that I need someone on KZitem to do a Tenet/The Smile edit 😂

Also Pana-vision, Open the Floodgates, Free In The Knowledge and Skrting on the Surface are some of the best Thom/Jonny/Radiohead songs since In Rainbows. Gorgeous stuff. Cheers again for an enjoyable reaction!

Thanks for this. Love your reactions. Yeah, I see your point with 'The Same' fitting into the soundtrack of Tenet. I always, for some reason, think of an Alex Garland film, like Annihilation, when I hear it.

That first track reminds me of Sleep Party People - I’m Not Human At All. That would be a good listen for this channel

I prefer this to quite a few Radiohead albums. Really like the compositions. Beautiful arrangements all across it. The Smoke and You Will Never… are stylistically quite different to what Radiohead have done in the past and hope that they continue on this path on the future releases either on the next The Smile album this year or on LP10.

Crazy how much Thom sounds like his Pablo Honey voice on You Will Never Work In Television again.

I just purchased the album a month ago. Really good album though the first three songs are the weakest tracks. especially You will Never Work in Television Again 👎
