I love how Jonny makes his guitar sound like orcas communicating.

Best new track, without a doubt. It sounds like the end of the new live version of Talk Show Host was kinda incorporated into it (the guitar bit at the end).

@@liadcohen8327 still not last 🙂 also, am i the only who feels like Bending Hectic is very out of place in this album? (not in a bad way) it could stand alone as a single and not be included in any albums, it's so impactful and heavy on its own. It blew their entire catalogue out of the water for me
@liadcohen8327

@@spatchko I don't know if that can be a thing, for anything to be "out of place" on an album made by Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood. They always show a range on every record, and they intentionally subvert expectations. I think because it came out early and felt like a stand alone song, it feels like it already existed that way, and not in the context of the record it might feel odd. But you could say the same thing about Lucky on OK Computer. Or half a dozen other songs that we heard long before they were put on records, and then maybe they felt different in the new context.

This song blends all the best aspects of The Smile. You get both their more dreamy side and finish off with their aggressive side.

It's so delicate and gorgeous and then Jonny stomps that fuzz at the end and takes it to another level. Hot damn! I'm crossing all my fingers and toes for the next 3 months that they play this one in Portland.

The smile LP2 is coming. Not long ago thom said the smile was “7 weeks deep in the studio.” And Phil had mentioned that before the next Radiohead project starts, (if there ends up being one) they all wanna see their projects through to their natural ends. Phil and Ed have projects too. Honestly I’d be okay with AMSP being the last one. It’s kinda the perfect end cap for Radiohead’s legacy.
