Hey Modfather, been following your videos for a long time, love them! What are you using in terms of amp and pedals? Also knowing your amp settings would be great! Many thanks! Keep rocking!
@modfather1965

Hi Scott... As far as pedals go, I have yet to really venture far away from my Boss ME-50 multi-effects pedal. It combines many high quality effects into one place and seems to get the job done. Playing through two amps is key--an AC30 and a Roland Jazz Chorus in my case--to getting a richer, fuller sound. The setting on the amps themselves are really nothing exotic... Top end on the AC30, and the bright channel on the Roland.

That's a lovely song I don't yet know. Great bass line too... Looks like there are various people playing it well, especially this guy: kzitem.info/news/bejne/uIV_nIyOoJSarKA Johnny Marr again uses some basic movable chord shapes to craft a memorable tune. Wonder if Andy Rourke had the bass line first, and Johnny came over it with some chords...?

modfather1965 Thanks for the link. That was a good cover of that song. I’ve tried to learn songs from watching people play covers , but it’s sort of difficult sometimes. I learn better when I hear full tutorials on songs since I’m a beginner. But anything helps. I’ve attempted to learn this song from tabs online and, watching covers but it has still been difficult for me. Anyways I’ll just have to keep practicing and give it more trys

Thank You for this lesson and breaking down NOWHERE FAST into some of these odd chord shapes, etc. This song has eluded me longer than I can remember. I'd always been in awe of how Daniel Earwicker made it sound even if the video's visual did not match the audio: kzitem.info/news/bejne/kXyqsayjsqChrGk. However, Yours comes out sounding just as well if not better - and You were kind enough to explain the magic behind the song. While practicing NOWHERE I'll be waiting for Your next video. Cheers!
