Gas will definitely be the cheapest way to heat , I use a ss coil running of my house boiler to heat mine ,I’ve been a gas engineer for nearly 20 years , gas safe registered ( formally known as corgi). To run off your assisting boiler you would need 2 zone/motorised valves and a separate timer/programmer for the pond. Quite a easy thing to do for a heating engineer. Or even better a separate boiler , will depend on the size of your assisting gas pipe(could always be upgraded) any advice just ask mate
@Tom_Prendiville
3 жыл бұрын
I'm told there is a limit to how much gas you can pass through the meter and seeing as i have two combi boiler's at my house (one in the house and one in the office in the garden) a third boiler doesn't seem to be an option. So do you think this 2nd zoning option is achievable bearing in mind the pond and boiler are 40+ metres away from each other. My thoughts are that an ashp is probably the best option after a dedicated boiler.
@ryanotter1747
3 жыл бұрын
@@Tom_Prendiville hi it is achievable but you are now talking commercial sized gas meter/pipe etc to achieve the pressure needed. Some manufacturers require less safe working gas pressures than others. You can add the output of all the gas appliances (including boiler for pond) then you could work out how much gas supply is needed. Domestic engineers can fit 35mm gas pipe.
