Fantastic and I so love re-discovering even more brilliant reflections of The Hobbit - thank you so much for enabling us to learn about what when on behind the scenes and so many other creative artists that were part of the making of these amazing movies. Namaste Chris Knight

Howard Shore's music has many very strong motifs, stronger than other songs. His way of writing music has many innovative features in film music composition. In The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit trilogy, music playback time accounts for 70% to 80%. Shows that he is a hard-working composer who loves his work. I love him very much - Howard Shore.

The tone of the songs is completely different to the second and third movies which shows that they should have either told just Bilbo's story or the entire geopolitical story. Both tonalities won't work.

Yeah I was always annoyed the Misty Mountains Motif WAS never used again in the rest of the movies.

As much as I do not enjoy the hobbit movies as much as Lord of the Rings, they are well over bloated and the producers got in the way and did not allow PJ&co prep time... but compared to the abortion that is Rings of Power the hobbit movies are a masterpiece compared!

Well, it doesn’t help that Amazon doesn’t have the full rights for the Simarillion and other Tolkien works.

@@jawo8754 But, always putting Tolkien in the forefront of your creative process, people would have enjoyed rings of power! Many elements in Lord of the Rings movies improve on moments from the book. Eg Just finding Boromir slain... Vs the beautiful dialogue between him and Aragorn... Again... the mantra of 'What would Tokien do'... Amazon did NONE OF THAT... Even Peter Jacksons reached out to be a mentor, they ignored him and even fire Tom Shippey... No Excuse here... Fuck ROP and Amazon

@@OliverHollingdale oh I agree. Just saying they can’t follow it religiously due to copyright.
