@@AdamDallas absolutely, man! I agree. His voice and attitude are close to perfection. He’s not only very gifted at any register, but he’s got that expressive, bluesy tone (just like Jorn Lande) which, I think, would elevate Dream Theater’s already amazing music. Just imagine a ballad like this sung by him. My argument? Symphony X’s “Communion and the Oracle”, “The Accolade”, etc. I know James has been a vital part of DT since he started. They wanted a Geoff Tate kind of winger. However, this is not Majesty anymore. This DT is not te Images & Words one. Not even the DT found on Scenes From a Memory. @@WelcomeToOzzy I have as well! I think James was one of the, if not the best metal vocalists in the early 90's and his album contributions are always stellar. But these last tours especially, is in my opinion taking away so much of the Dream Theater concert experience as a whole that it becomes much less enjoyable, since the rest of the band still perfom at such a high level consistently. And Dream Theater being one of my favorite bands of all time, it does hurt. I saw them on a few legs on the 2022 european tour and it was really hit or miss from song to song.
