OH GOSH I'VE NEVER SEEN SUCH A CLEAR EXPLANATION OF THIS TOPIC!!! This video just crushed my 2 weeks of frustration on trying to understand that a stack does in a processor. wow.

Great teacher. One of the best teachers I had during my engineering studies back in the 2000s at the University Carlos III of Madrid.

Do I understand the first example? You push r1 and r2, so the first element of a stack is now: r2. Then, a programme do something, but after that, you pop r2 and r1, so now the first element of the stack is something else - not r1 or r2, am I right? So, how actually you prevent these values?

With higher level lenguages as C, are the local variables decleared within the called functions stored into the stack? Or it will just contain the return addresses of the functions?

Great video! It would have been great if you also included the base pointer (for x86 processors). By the way, where can I donate so you can buy a pen that is not running out of ink?

PLS CAN YOU ANSWER THIS QUSTION Assuming that SP = 1236, AX = 77A3, SI = 54EF, and DX = FF31, show the contents of the stack as each of the following instructions is executed 1-PUSH AH, 2-PUSH DH , 3-POP DH

Not only the return addresses are stored in the stack but also the working registers of the current function. Isn’t it?

The author clearly says at the beginning that the stack is actually a combination of an area in memory and the stack pointer which is stored in a register
