The Standells in their early matching-collarless-suits period, plus lots of go-go-ing cocktail waitresses. The blonde actress seems familiar but I can't place her.
The clip is from the Ben Casey episode Three Li'l Lambs which aired 29 March 1965. The cast of this episode is particularly interesting. in addition to starring Nick Adams and Marlo Thomas, and Vince Edwards' then wife for a year, Kathy Kersh, was Carol O'Connor, Dennis Crosby, son of Bing and father of Denise Crosby, and a youthful looking Norman Alden. Ben Casey was a Bing Crosby Productions and aired on ABC from 1961 to 1966.

In the early 1960s producer Martin Ransohoff had plans to turn Kathy Kersh into a major star and signed her to an exclusive contract. The following year he met Sharon Tate whom he thought had great potential and Kersh ended up on the back burner. The two actresses were cast together several times and were friendly without contention between them. First wife of Vince Edwards. Second wife of Burt Ward.

Marlo Thomas was seen on and off after "That Girl," but seemed to focus more on St. Jude and being Mrs. Phil Donohue. The more time goes by, the less time there is to put even the best shows on in reruns. That's what DVD's and downloads are for.

The blonde actress is Mary Mitchel. She played a Norwegian waitress named Mady in an episode of "Hogan's Heroes. "It was the one where Carter gets a Dear John letter and requests permission to escape to go back to the U.S. and talk his girlfriend out of leaving him. Hogan says he can, provided he go into town and try to unload some phony microfilm to a German soldier. Mady is the waitress in the restaurant.

No doubt by 1965 when this episode of Ben Casey aired numerous TV executives had noticed Marlo Thomas as she had already appeared in various programs since 1960. By early 1966 she was in negotiations for her own series that evolved into That Girl which premiered September 8, 1966 on ABC and ran for five seasons. Marlo was also the producer of the series she starred in which had solid Nielsen ratings throughout its run.
