The Starlighters, most of them alumni of the Six Hits and a Miss Swing vocal group of the early 40's, formed in 1946. The singers in this clip from the 1948 movie "Song Of Idaho," were Jerry Duane (who previously sang with Gene Krupa's G-Noters), Pauline Byrns, Howard Hudson, Vince Degen, and Tony Paris (who had also sung with Bob Crosby's Bob O' Links and then The Mellowaires in 1941-42). They frequently accompanied Jo Stafford on records and on radio's Chesterfield Supper Club.
Thanks to Adrian Daff of Melbourne, Australia for this rare clip.
