The Statler Brothers were my momma’s favorite group. She loved their gospel songs. She passed away 2 years ago now and when I hear them sing it reminds me of her. Missing momma lately!

Glad Harold took some time before he went to his reward. They are missed but think of the sacrifices they and their families made. Great sons, of Don and Harold, Wilson Fairchild wrote a tribute song to them, it's beautiful,

I grew up with these songs in church when I was younger (I'm now 71) . My question is what has happened to these beautiful hymns? Beautiful Saviour. A Mighty Fortress etc. It use to knock the church walls down because the people got so into the music. Today it just isn't there. Sorry, but Ill Listen to these boys (and they are Boys to me) all day long especially on Sundays.

William Marsh Me, too, at 79. The churches use drums and songs that you never know when they end. Also, I miss being able to hum or sing the songs on my way home and during the week.

Attended one of their concerts in the 70's w/Holly Dunn as the fronting actat the Quandt Field House in Stevens Point WI. What a class act. Holly Dunn was an exceptional vocalist, but she was never covered on too many albums. Wish se would have continued on cause she had a great voice. Joe Engman
