When I think Steelers, I think: Mean Joe Greene Troy Polamalu Rod Woodson Jack Lambert Hines Ward Franco Harris Terry Bradshaw Big Ben Mike Webster And that is still leaving out so many great players I grew up watching in the 2000s, like Maurice Pouncey and James Harrison, like a long guys from before my time.

I don’t know how Troy isn’t everyone’s favorite…. Dude did things regularly that wasn’t regular…. So many times I can just remember not believing what my eyes just saw…. Jumping both offense and defense lines AT the count of the snap to tackle the QB before he even takes a step back….. That’s not suppose to be real 😂😂

Jack Lambert used to hold a youth camp in Alliance Ohio. 10 min from where I grew up. One year I'm the late 90s he gathered all the kids and parents together. He told them the camp was canceled and everyone would get a refund. He was fed up with the parents complaining about how he was talking to the kids.

Talking about a strong mean player , I say special mention for #95 Greg Lloyd Sr 2 time team MVP , 3 time All Pro team and played in 5 Pro Bowls with 53.5 Career Sacks and was inducted into the Steelers Hall of Honor in 2020 . I remember when in a Pre Season Game vs the Packers he hit Brett Favre so hard he flew back 15 yards and got a concussion. Im a Packers fan but respect to Greg Lloyd Sr .

I like that he included a guy from the losing years (Russell) and a modern era guy and not just all 70s dudes. Which, given how dominant that era was (unmentioned were swann, stallworth, Webster, ham, Harris, Blount…) you could easily argue all of the Steelers Mount Rushmore could come from just guys who played on that dynasty.

Polamalu was amazing, def Hall of Fame but Edelman comments on him are backhanded compliment and they are accurate Polamalu made A LOT of bad plays too. He was a big time gambler as all great players should be but Polamalu made too many bad gambles which is why Steelers D got burned so much during his years To be fair, I blame Cower and Tomlin for that tho. Polamalu should NEVER have been the anchor of the D. He should have been allowed to be a wildcard game changing type player. They never could find a FS who was Pro Bowl level to pair with him. That player could have played the conservative style and let Polamalu roam and disrupt. Steelers could have been another dynasty vs 2 Superbowls Ryan Clark was an absolute disgrace
