The stone roses are a core part of every manchester kids childhood I’m from north wales and this is straight up my alley north wales got hold of this a week after it release D in Manchester I remember going to the local vinyl shop and me and my mates sharing it each week those memories stay with us

That's the thing though, it wasn't really fresh. Punk bands were doing this sort of thing in 1977/78. The psychedelic dance sound on the other hand was pioneering.

This album was released without them it was unfinished work which is why it has the rough un smooth sound they had later in fact i think the only album they got paid for was the stone roses,the record company fucked them over which is when they threw paint all over its office
