The Milk Bar was before my time. I knew about it but of course never went there. This was so interesting and I loved hearing about people's memories of it. Thank you for doing this story.❤

holy schmoly, I never thought my comment would become part of an Endangered Story! Awesome :D! This behind the scenes take is really amazing, and I'm super excited to hear there have been more missing pieces of the Milk Bar story found! Long live the Milk Bar saga! To be continued...

There are so many stories out there, and seemingly so little time to capture them.

With enough will, and a fresh pot of coffee, I’ll make it to the 1970s before I’m in my 70s

Great work, would love to see some stuff on night life, Pioneer or my neighbour started a youth club called flip side in Valois that was ahead of it’s time.

While I was a bit young for the Milk Bar I do remember a Dairy Queen on the 2 & 20 I asked a fellow West Islander who graduated from John Rennie a few years before I graduated From Macdonald and she thought it was a bit further West.

It was around where the current Pointe-Claire train station is today. Close to where The Place for Steak was.

A vanilla milkshake at the Milk Bar back in the day was how I found out I was lactose intolerant. I went into respiratory alert and the cute girl behind the counter gave me mouth to mouth resuscitation. Three years later, we were married. An ice creamy story, don’t you think?
