My grandfather Syed Tufail Hussain Shah, and our uncles all used to visit this place for Muharram Majalis. I am 72 years old. All names mentioned in the video were names of our relatives. We were then spread far and wide in Lahore Sialkot, Jhang, Multan. Jannat Manzil established by me in Lahore is just a humble attempt to regain our lost glory.

Wow it reminded me my childhood, I often used to see an old man sitting on takhat (bench) outside main entrance. And also reminded me of Tajammal Shah g, I used to go with my dad at his house to attend majlis near Bibi Pakdaman where Prof Syed Sajjad Razavi used to recite. Let say Fatiah for all these people and qul mominens, Alfatiah.

@@rpsingh2541 I saw this Haveli and it reminded me of my childhood. I remember for many years I recalled of this Haveli due to the old man sitting in the front prch watching the people pass by. The incredibly beautiful and intricate craftsmanship of this Haveli is a beautiful memory of my childhood. Within it separate spaces were organised for men and women to offer prayer. A gorgeous Haveli that has been captured beautifully and skillfully in a video.

Very beautiful haveli. It would have been very nice if the documentary was in Punjabi, the pure language of Lahore and Punjab instead of the Urdu ( pahari language of UP, India)

How exactly does any Pakistani claim to be a Sayyid? Coming from Iran does not make a person Sayyid (religiously). Less than 1% of Iranians claim to be Sayyids, and even that is unsubstantiated. Historically, Sayyids in Iran were not descendants of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), but the term was used for having a higher level of civil/social/ financial status. Punjabis in Pakistan or those who migrated from India to Pakistan have less than 0% chance of being a Sayyid, religiously. Almost 99.9% of Pakistani Muslims have Hindu ancestry (factually); even Pathans. The point being, claiming to be a descendant of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) as a Pakistani, or having any level of religious superiority is a falsity. Please focus on becoming a good Muslim. Sorry, I digress. The haveli is nice.

Well you are probably completely oblivious to the history of un-ending persecution of Sadaats at the hands of the Umayyads and Abbasids. The direct descendants of the Prophet (saw) are from the progeny of his daughter Hazrat Fatima (sa) and Hazrat Ali (as) and thereafter from their sons Imam Hassan (as) and Imam Hussain (as). Many escaped persecution from the Caliphs in Damascus and Baghdad towards the East into Iran and India. The 8th Imam Ali Raza (as) bin Musa Kazim (as) bin Jaffar Al Sadiq (as) bin Muhammad Baqir (as) bin Ali (Zain ul Abideen) (as) bin Hussain (as) bin Ali (as) is buried in Mashad, Iran. Hence the name Mashad (burial place of a Shaheed) (old name Tuus). Some of the siblings of Imam Raza (as) also reached Iran and resided there and their progeny moved on to India due to persecution from Abbasid Caliph Mamuun. The likelihood of Pakistan and India having Syeds is very high. The real story behind Muhammad bin Qasim attacking Sindh is also because Raja Dahir offered protection to Sadaat who were escaping persecution from the Umayyad Governor Hajjaj bin Yousuf. It is unfortunate that the Prophet's own family were mistreated by people claiming to be Muslims.

@The florist , actually the point is the opposite. I am not trying to put anyone down. A Muslim is a Muslim; race or color, or belonging to a certain sect, does not make one superior to another. In Pakistan, this religious racism/discrimination is blatant.

From where you this much regarding Syeds what you wanna say has been mentioned in the last sentence its your insecurity shows here no need to teach us about our existence. From the far far generations my ancestors are Syeds we no need to prove it to anyone that we are the descendents of Prophet Muhammad PBUH through his daughter Syeda Zahra and Moula Ali ....
