In this video we will discuss the development and history of the Brazilian/Ottoman/British Dreadnought HMS Agincourt. This Dreadnought would be armed with fourteen, twelve inch guns originally built for the Brazilian Navy. She was then purchased by the Ottoman Empire where she renamed the Sultan Osman the First. With the outbreak of the First World War the British under the direction of the First Lord of the Admiralty, Winston Churchill would seize the ship. She would be completed and renamed HMS Agincourt, and would be part of the Grand Fleet throughout the duration of the war, participating in the battle of Jutland.
